Corsair RGB LED Lighting PRO Expansion Kit (CL-8930002)

Super beautiful and surprisingly really bright light strips. Easy to attach on metal surfaces since they are a hybrid of magnetic strips and having adhesives on the back of it. Easy to install and customize and move around anyway you want. Very bright and super colourful and just overall gorgeous looking. Some people said theirs came in broken, and I'm sorry for that, but my review is my experience and for me, everything went simple and fantastic. I got my package, opened it, plugged it in, and immediately worked. No complaints for me at all. I will be buying 1 more set so I can wrap it around my desk hopefully. EXTRA: If you have a motherboard with only 1 USB 2.0 header and say, for example, your H100i V2 Corsair cooler is taking that spot, you can use a regular USB to type A cable, plug it into any open USB hub on the motherboard or computer case, and plug that in as well so you won't have two corsair features fighting for that one slot. OR you can get a 3rd party USB extension unit, like the NZXT USB hub, and that'll work beautifully as well.

Great kit, I paired it with my fans that came with the Node Pro.. Works great. Only thing I didn't like which is not worth a star removed because it is what is advertised is it being 4 pieces opposed to a set length. How my case is set up i couldn't get it on the front most edges of the case around the glass due to the back fan spot, which made extending and running the cords a bit awkward. Lights are VERY bright, If you case is dirty it will be very apparent. The magnetic aspect helps set up where you want the strip to sit so you dont have to worry about over peeling the adhesive. this helps a lot to get the best position on setup as they connecting of the stirp can be a bit tricky as we all want to that clean no cables hanging around look. This didn't take to long to do but can be a bit annoying to get right the first few times

Obviously I bought these to increase my FPS and so far I've seen a jump in performance by 60 FPS! Ok but for all seriousness if you like to make your rig stand out and make it one of a kind, look no further. Everything I have in my rig is Corsair, am I biased? Maybe, but you can't beat being able to control everything in ICUE with a single click. I absolutely hate trying to sync everything up with multiple apps for RGB so I decided to stick with what I knew worked..ICUE. Pros: ICUE controlled Easy peezy lemon squeezy installation (they're magnetic) 4 RGB strips to place anywhere you want Bright +60FPS Cons: You need a commander pro/XT to plug these into. If you don't have that, they don't work. If you buy the commander pro/XT and its not included with your case (like mine was) the price for the strips and commander pro/XT is like $80 for some RGB lights. You can get cheaper lights elsewhere for that kind of money. Overall, if you like RGB these make a great addition. If you aren't a fan of ICUE, you're gonna have a bad time. What else is there to say?

I use these to add accent lighting to my Custom PC and man do they look good, in tandem with Corsair ICUE software you can pretty much have these do whatever you want in terms of lighting effects. They have provided an essential aesthetic effect to my case that nothing else could have done. they only complaint i have is they should include 4 extension cables instead of 2 extensions and 2 linking cables, I do not use the linking so they are worthless to me, and I have found myself needing to buy an expansion set of these in order to have what I need to finish my build, they are super bright so i recommend turning the brightness down to about 1/3 or 2/3 because when you leave them at 100% you will burn out one of the color nodes pretty quick but you will have that with any RGB item because when you run white it makes them get really hot and what does heat cause in any electronic item? you guessed it they start to degrade and break down. overall this is a fantastic product with fairly easy installation.

So I purchased the original kit which includes the lighting node pro and the 4 RGB strips. Corsair products are great, the install of the node and the strips is simple. The strips have a black PCB which makes them blend in nice with the black case. Also the strips have magnets built into them along with a adhesive strip once you are ready for a permanent mount. This is nice because you can test mounting locations out before you choose to mount them with the adhesive. The brightness is great and the level of customization on ICUE is endless. Now I chose to purchase the expansion pack because I wanted a few more strips to mount outside the case on my desk that I could control with ICUE and have them be part of the RGB setup. When I got the expansion in the mail I was suspicious right away due to the fact that both of the factory adhesive circles which seal the box shut were cut as you can see in the photo. The top of the box was also ripped where the plastic mount comes through for retail display. This and the seal being cut were clear indications someone had already opened it. Amazon had also taken one of their UPC code stickers and used it to keep the flap shut where the seal was cut (this indicated to me it was likely returned and they restocked it). When I opened the box there was no extension cables inside. When I went to test the strips, 3 out of 4 of them did not function at all, and 1 barely worked. I tested them multiple ways and they wouldn't function. The 1 that did "work" only had 1 LED module that would light up green and another that sort of dimly lit up blue. It would not change to any other colors. It was clear to me that this item was clearly defective and likely that someone had returned it in the past and Amazon chose to restock it. So shame on Amazon for that. I'm waiting for a replacement, hopefully the next one functions properly, is unopened, and has all the parts. Other than that this is a great product. Although its a little pricey for a few strips of RGB, Corsair hasn't let me down yet.

Corsair LEDs are great. they are working well and they look cool. My most favorite hast to be the ability to control the LEDs through an app on my desktop. I would definitely recommend buy this LEDs strips if you a gamer how is looking to create cool effects though you will need to download an app called iCUE. over all thumbs up.

En cuanto que nos viene, en este kit simplemente vienen las cuatro tiras RGB mas cuatro cables por si se quieren alargar mas o la caja es muy grande y no da para hacer todo el cuadrado. En cuanto al brillo y al color, la verdad ilumina bastante y el brillo es bueno, al ser adresables pues se pueden configurar de muchas mas formas que con las RGB normales, por lo que se puede customizar más aun la caja. En cuanto la calidad, nada que reprochar, he tardado bastante en realizar este análisis, llevan funcionando ya casi dos años y ni han fallado ni han perdido brillo, por lo que el producto es de buena calidad. Como pros, es que en la parte trasera lleva cinta de doble cada y lleva imanes, por lo que podemos elegir como colocarlas. En cuanto al software ICUE, nada que reprochar, fácil e intuitivo de usar. Buen producto, dentro del precio GAMING que esta tan extendido hoy en día y nos dará ese extra de personalización de la caja

Absoulutely love the RGB strips from Corsair. Best among the brands out there. Provide more effects than the rest as well. iCue works well with the rest of the RGB fans. Improves your rig's aesthetics greatly.
