I searched for the is item after seeing my insurance adjuster had one!! Soooo easy to measure a room without struggling with a regular tape measure that bends al over the place and where you have to find a wall without anything obstructing it AND keep it level. This item solves many difficulties. I love it because it’s very intuitive to use. I also like using it to measure to things like the depth of a closet shelf that I cannot reach. Definitely recommend. Good value for money. It even comes with a nice case for portability and protection.

Difficulty level to learn is between medium to easy. Which is good for such complex laser tape measure with decent list of most used features.

In moderate daylight on an overcast day, the red laser dot was only clearly visible from under about 20 feet against brown cardboard. It might have been more helpful if there were sights along the face of the meter so that you could tell exactly where to look for the dot, although the distance limitation would still apply.

Very good laser to measure indoor areas. Not good for outdoors due to sunlight.

Great product

Immediately after opening, the “turn on/measure distance” button was the only one that worked. Could not change units of measurement to feet/inches, it was stuck on meters. None of the other features worked other than measuring meters from the back of the device because all the black buttons (4 out of 5 buttons) never registered short or long presses.

I had a two week project which required measuring a specific distance for the calibration of a safety system.I got this because all of my measuring tapes were 20 meters or 25 yards, or shorter, and I specifically needed a distance of about 95 feet.I used it mostly inside, however, there were times I had to use it outside in the sun, and while I realized it’s not very good in direct sunlight, there were certain things I could do to remedy that.In the sun, you have to shoot at a reflective surface in order for it to work and not get washed out. Also expect it’s effective range to be cut in half in bright sunlight. In my specific use, I was measuring the distance from a sensor mounted on the windshield of a truck out to a target point. When I was in the sun, I shot the visible laser to the front license plate, and manually measured the distance from the plate to my sensor, and that worked for me. I was effectively getting 75 feet of use in the sun.
