This is a classic case of "you get what you pay for".Let me first say that the video quality is actually pretty good considering this unit only cost $59.99. However, with that being said, lets go over everything wrong.1: within two months of receiving the unit, the battery would no longer hold or take a charge, so it was necessary to always use the included power cable. Not a huge issue since the unit was always used in my vehicle, so keeping it plugged in was not a problem. But more on this later.2: While footage in daylight was actually fairly impressive at this price point, night time footage was abysmal at best. Any footage in low light was horribly grainy, and it is next to impossible to make out anything.3: Included instructions are pitiful, and virtually useless.4: Menu system is a disorganized mess, and not intuitive. With a bit of patience, and a lot of poking around, it isn't overly difficult to figure out. But given that we are living in the 21st century, you would think that the overseas manufacturers would have figured out how to hire better linguistic translators by now.5: The mount that comes with the unit is horrible. Having only a very small diameter screw post with a plastic locking ring to keep the unit fixed in place is really poor design. This mounting system loosens very easily with any amount of vibration. Also, there is no compatibility with any aftermarket mounting systems, so you are stuck with the very weak, and delicate mount.6: The suction cup on the included mount is complete garbage. It is easily affected by minor temperature swings, and the unit constantly falls from the windshield if the temperature falls below 30 degrees or goes above 70 degrees.7: I have only had the unit for 10 months and the included power cable has failed. So, while I can use a USB cable to charge from a computer, or any USB charging port, since the battery failed just after the cut-off point to return it, the unit is now useless junk.I would not recommend this unit for any reason, although it now appears that it is currently unavailable from the site I purchased it from.

Works fine, would have been better with better instructions, I got by being a gadget freak . The bad part was getting the memory chip back in, it kind of misses the socket and disappeared so the back cover had to be removed to find it wound up in empty space, I figured it out by not finding it any place it could have fallen after searching for some time. to reinstall the chip it must be done carefully aligned with socket. The video and audio are exellent when played back in a computer only.

The media could not be loaded. I was driving on the highway last week, behind a pickup truck. All the sudden, I saw a black piece of “thing” flying in the sky and the next thing I know it hit my windshield and went right through it. It was a freaking tow hitch!! Luckily, after it landed on the deck and didn’t hit me. I already had a dash cam installed, but unfortunately, I was so far away from him and so didn’t get his license plate, but the video footage was good for my insurance. My mom was freaking out of course, and she was so glad I had a dash cam. Now she wants a dash cam herself. This dash cam I got my for my mom has a bigger screen than the one I have, and it even came with a 32G SanDisk SD card! Which I thought it was a great deal. The package looks very fancy, so does the camera. Installation is easy as indicated in the manual. Image resolution is very clear both day and night. One thing I really like is that you can push the down button to turn on and off the audio recording, and push the OK button to take a picture. Going through the settings is straight forward; overall my mom really likes this camera it makes her feel more comfortable now when driving out there.

This Dash cam comes with the worst instructions ever, not only is it not written in correct grammar, it's hard to even understand. Russian language also on there. Therefore I had no idea of what were some of it's features.Cam also did not auto turn on.I sent it back

The dash cam looks fine, automatically turns on or off when the engine turns on or off. The image looks clear. Hard to say how clear it is. On the small screen, the license plate is hard to read. Might be better after transferring it on to the computer screen.However, there are few problems:1). The instruction is poorly written. Even the 1st guide inside the instruction: Power on/off. No way you can find the power button. No label on the camera. No diagram inside the instruction. Only after few try and error. Finally figure it out that the OK button can be used as a power button.2). There are lots of features inside the menu, however, there is no explanations. Should it be on or off? No idea!3). In the play mode, there is no list of the events with time, hard to know where and when you were before. If you want to save some footage, you need to go through the whole DVR, and figure it out by yourself.4). It looks like a cheap camera. There is no company name. Do not know where to get help if needed.5). Instruction mentioned loop recording. However, can not find the loop recording feature anywhere inside the menu.6). Confusing wording. It mentioned G sensor. What is G sensor? No explanation. Inside the menu, there is gravity sensor. Both are probably the same thing.

It started off great! I've had this camera for less than 6 months. It worked fine, very clear and then one day it just shut off. It will not turn on or do anything. I contacted the company I purchased it from, of course I have not received a reply from them. Do not waste your money on this camera like I did.

Camera Acting Up Like Go On And Off Sometimes.

I use this cam every day for a year now. It works fine, except for the internal battery.Internal battery is almost dead.. Does not hold a charge for more than few minutes.Very good picture. In the nite time picture is as good as in the day time. I did not contact the seller about the battery deal yet. I also have the protection plan with it. I will contact them also. For now I recommend this dash cam. The screen is 3" and the picture is beautiful.
