This purchase was a replacement for my current strip that was short. I love how the the led backlight reduces eye strain, looks really great and makes the picture stand out. Once you start using this backlight strip you will never want to watch tv without it. Installing is easy but you have to bend the strip around the corners of the TV or use strip connectors. However once I cut the strip to add the strip connectors the lights are now different colors for each strip I used a connector on. The strip connectors are applied correctly. They will all stay solid blue or solid red but any other color function the strips are all different colors when using. The remote also doesn't work correctly once using strip connectors...for instance if I push blue I get green, red I get multicolored and so on. They look good as long as I leave them in a solid color blue or red. I have another set of these that I used on my bedroom TV and they did the exact same thing once I cut the strips and added connectors.

I was really thinking this would be cute behind my tv, give some light to the room without needing lights on. The location of USB outlet on my TV is on the right, but this kit only allows for the lights to start on the left and be connected left to right, not right to left, based on corner directions.Furthermore, the strip was too thick for the corner connectors to snap closed and wouldn't have worked even if they were facing the correct direction.

Colors didn't coordinate. The letter order (color symbols) on the lights didn't match the letter order on the white connectors so lights never matched up when it was plugged in. The letter order on the lights is B R G + while the letter order on the connectors B G R +. I could have used the lights without the connectors but I prefer a clean/crisp look, without wasting any length of lighting, so never really had a chance to make it work once I cut it. It was only $10-$15 but was a waste of my time and money. Others seemed to have better experience with this product so maybe I just received faulty connectors, but my experience was worth one star.

I was really excited about these so I ordered one for myself and one for my mum. The lights look great, the colors are crisp and the set up is quite simple. The remote works as its supposed and the signal can pass through obstacles. Unfortunately that's about all I can say for the positives. I was disappointed the there wasn't a rainbow fade option, rather just fade one color or R-G-B. I also dislike that the fade mode fades to completely off then back on rather than just dim to bright, ironically it's supposed to reduce eye strain but ends up being a bit headache inducing.The first box of LEDs was a dud straight out of the box: the connection about half way through the light strip was faulty so occasionally the latter half would change colors on its own. Turning the brightness all the way down caused it to "freeze" on a single color and stop responding to remote controls. No amount of unplugging or adjusting helped.The second seemed okay out of the box and I was looking forward to mounting it to the back of my tv, but alas when I turned the brightness all the way down this one froze as well. It stopped responding to the remote and just did this strange flicker for the color it was frozen on. I couldn't even tell you if the adhesive is good or what the ambiance is like because I didn't even get that far. A real disappointment. Maybe I got the short end of the stick, but do yourself a favor and invest a little more in higher quality strip lights.

This lights up great and I like the colors but the adhesive on the back that is used to adhere to the TV doesn’t stick that well at all. This literally fell off my TV 1 day after sticking it to the back and yes I cleaned the back before adhering. I’m super disappointed I might try using some tape to help it stay in place but that just sucks! I would only buy if you don’t need it to stick to anything.

After two long days of connecting and reconnecting, I have finally decided these are a dud. I can’t seem to get them working properly. Once I get one strip working, a joint fails and the colors are off. I fix that one and the other goes out. Get two to sync colors and no color comes from the last strip. 1 star because I enjoy that the remote works without direct line of sight from remote to the controller.

I am having so much fun with this backlight! It was a little small for my television so I decided to make my workplace fun and attached it to my desk monitor. The lights are wrapped in durable material and the adhesive is already attached so all you have to do is peel the backing and stick it to the surface around the monitor. I had no problems with the remote control. It worked immediately. There are seven brilliant colors and there's even a demo button that makes the lights change colors kind of like a strobe. It definitely made my workday much more entertaining! I would recommend this for a teenager either male or female and it would probably fit best on a smaller television.

Worse set of lights I’ve ever bought yet. I hooked it up, mounted it in my tv and it looked pretty good the first day. After three days a 9 inch section in the center no longer lights. Then a day later one end is green the other is blue and the center still nothing. What a waste of money...
