Allows me to use the chest harness, but still be able to use a manfrotto tripod head mount.

Return window closed because I purchased in advance for a two week vacation. Does not hold in vertical position at all. Holds in horizontal position but continually needs to be tightened. I was using a 24-70 2.8 Nikon lens. Another accessory that will gather dust.

It's kind of chunky, but has to be thick enough for good thread engagement. The dovetail appears useless since it is slightly wider than the Arca Swiss standard but it has plenty of room for an adapter plate

Great adapter, but no instructions
Took off one star as it came with two screws, one longer than the other. It was trial and error as to which screw to use and what holes to use. Otherwise, this is a great addition to the Nicama harness. Just wish there was a link from the harness directly to this item, as it is a must have.

Well made, easy to adjust, stays put, excellent price
Use it on my sigma 150-600 Canon set on a K&F carbon fiber tripod/monopod, works perfectly along with matching harness. Strong, secure, I'd buy another one without a second thought. Love it.

Better than the Cotton Carrier plate, but heavier
I have a Cotton Carrier and really like it, but I do like to use my Tripod too sometimes. This CC adapter works, but is a bit short, as many have noted. Interestingly enough, there is an alternative (the Nicama RL1 Camera Tripod Adapter - B09YDL7FLX). If you look at the photos I attached, you can see how much longer the Nicama adapter plate is over the CC plate. The CC round hub attaches just perfectly to the Nicama and it all functions perfectly. I would recommend the Nicama over the CC adapter plate. My only qualm about the Nicama is that it's just a bit thicker than it needs to be. As for weight, the CC is 69.3g with the gasket and 58.1 without it. The Nicama is 91.2g, so it does add more weight.Loses a star for being thicker and heavier than it needs to be.

No installation instructions
Haven't had it long enough to use very much (received as an Xmas gift), but so far it does the job. It was always a pain switching between mounts for my harness and my tripod, so this is a welcome addition to my toolkit. I only gave it 4 stars because no installation instructions were provided. I had to look at the product photos on Amazon and wing it from there.
