This beautiful container was hand turned of beetle killed pine by my neighbor and fellow wood-turner. Turned in a shape reminiscent of Santa Fe Pueblo pottery, this one of a kind bowl features a 3/4" Lapis Lazuli trim band. Note the silvery gray stain called spalting that is distinctive to wood harvested from bark beetle killed trees. Attractive displayed as an art object, this sturdy container can also be used to hold dry food snacks, pencils, pens, brushes, cooking tools, dry flowers or a myriad of other items. The container has a durable hand rubbed finish buffed to a satin sheen that both protects and enhances the beauty of the wood. Dimensions are 4" height, 7 1/4" diameter and 4 7/8" diameter opening
