Instant Read Meat Thermometer Waterproof Digital Food Cooking Thermometer For Kitchen Candy BBQ Grill

Very disappointed in the instant read thermometer, because it stopped working after using it in the beginning. I have had it since March of 2019, yesterday I cooked a whole chicken and needed to check the temp. I keep it in the box in a drawer for safe keeping, and it DID NOT WORK. I changed the battery and the same response. I looked it up on Amazon and now you cannot order one. I was gonna give it a another chance, I would like an answer from sazaon as to what I'm suppose to do now. It clearly says "lifetime warranty". Thank you for a response. Gail Files. Firstly, the packaging on this product is incredible. It comes in a magnet-closure box with foam insert, and I actually keep it in there so it doesn't get damaged by my other cooking tools! Incredibly easy to use and easy to read, I use this thermometer for everything from oven broiling to grilling and my meats have come out perfectly done- not overdone or underdone like they used to! Instant read means you don't have to wait for the temp gauge to get to meat level- this was a problem with a previous dial-style thermometer I used. By the time the thermometer read the right temp, the meat had been over heat longer and overcooked! This is no longer a problem with my new digital thermometer, and the readout is very clear! Also, I love the waterproof feature since my fiance has a habit of leaving the thermometer out on the grill after he's done... and then it rains the next day... another reason why I keep it safe in its box- he never finds it that way!! Definitely worth every penny!!

I had high hopes for this thermometer because of the specs and reviews. I also took advantage of a promotion, so it was a steal at the price. Unfortunately, either it didn't perform or I got a bad unit. I first tested it in boiling water and eventually, it read exactly 212 degrees. However, I was cooked by the time it reached 212. It climbed to the low 200s within about 5 seconds, but then took several minutes to reach 212. Then I tested ice slush. Again, it dropped to around 40 degrees quickly, but took several minutes to bottom out at 33 degrees (1 degree high, outside the quoted accuracy of 0.5 degree F, but close enough). After that, it became useless. Multiple readings of things in the neighborhood of room temperature were randomly off by 4 to 5 degrees in either direction, and the reading would drift over a 1 degree range around the bad temperature. Rechecking seconds later would be off the same amount in the other direction. So an accurate reading took minutes rather than seconds, and then it stopped producing an accurate reading at all.
