Read before purchasing
My review rating is neutral because it does technically work, but it does not work as you’d think it does.This item requires a specific app downloaded from the iOS App Store for it to work.The app does allow you to copy items from your iOS device to a card.It does NOT work the other way around.I purchased this to be able to grab photos and videos from my camera and move them to the camera roll on my iPad for editing. It doesn’t work for this purpose because it only works to copy items into the app. Once items are in their app you cant take anything out of their app and use it anywhere else on your iPhone/iPad. This makes the device useless to me so I am returning it.I did not get this impression from reading the product description so I am leaving this review here so that others will now how this item functions before purchasing it.

Could be great with some major caveats
IvyOck OTG sd card readerBought this for an overseas trip for two reasons:1. So I could entertain myself watching my own films and serials on my ipad2. So I could save space taking pictures on my iphone by moving them off the phone onto the sd cards as my phone has very limited space.Welp, so far, the device is batting .500Using it with a computer, the device is perfect. However, when it comes to using it with idevices, it falls short.1. If you use high speed, large capacity cards ( e.g. SanDisk MicroSd UHSi 10 at 64 or 128gb ), it required too much power (or something) to be read by my TP-Link travel router I use so my husband could also watch whatever he wanted.2. The associated apple app iUSB crashes every time I try to copy files from the camera roll to the sd card.Other than those two issues, which make the device nearly useless for me, it's a great compact reader that does the job. I had to use the OTG to watch my shows, which means hubby was stuck with the in flight films, but it does work at least for that.If the manufacturer doesn't massively improve the associated app in MANY ways, I'd recommend folks base their purchases on being very aware of what app is associated with these devices and steer them to something else. Also, if I'm really being nit-picky, the end caps constantly come off whilst the device is in my pocket. It's annoying but minor n the grand scheme of things.

Everyone with an iPhone needs one of these! Awesome!!!!
Works great! Thank you for saving me from Apple's stupid iTunes sync nightmares. Now I can actually use my iphone like any other device and easily move my pics and videos to my computer in full resolution. Before getting this, I had no idea just how great my iphone's camera quality is.

worked great when i need it to but not from the start. all in all it is functional.
so im giving this 3 stars due to the trouble i had with it initially, on day one i tried it with an ipad pro and an iphone 6 and iphone 7 ,. it worked less then a handful of times and i have no idea why . so i put it up and instead of returning it i put it on the shelf never to use it again. well after an ios update or two later (only tested on the iphone 7) i was in need to ransfer files from an sd card over to my iphone. i remembered i had this and promptly reached for it. to my luck it worked great! the app could use some work for sure, but it did what i needed it to do. for now i simply use it more as an sd reader to usb for quick transfers over to pc on the go without the app.

Product not compatible as described.
The product description states that this device is compatible with Android phones, but it is only compatible with older models of Apple phones.

U New it Was a Bad Idea...
Cheapest way of making one? This is it... Lasted about a week. I went to change the micro SD card. The new one would not click into place to lock it in place? WTF? I didn't have time to wear it out. Also. I didn't like it that it has two plastic end cover's. Over time, they will stop sticking in place. Lastly. Didn't like the design of the USB Housing the USB type C. Has a flimsy little plastic piece that holds it stuck out to use. Once u'r done, press plastic piece down, (If u have nails or something else to poke down on it), slide it into the USB for hide away Housing... I thought it was cheaply made...

It is fast when use on the pc, but when you connect to the iphone, it take longer time to repond. The App for the card reader very easy to use. SD card become "read only" after using it, can not format or delete any files.

Device defective waiting for replacement.
Update #2: Customer service came through and sent me a working adapter. It’s nice being able to use external storage in my idevices.Update: Seems like the device was defective. Company said they’d replace it but it’s been a couple of weeks.Device does not work on either iPhone X or IPad Air 2 with iOS 11.2.1. Device does work on Windows laptop, so sounds like the iUSB app needs to be updated.
