Buy A -Z Europe for Bikers: 100 scenic routes around Europe by Weir, Simon, A-Z Maps (ISBN: 9780008547837) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: great routes, could be improved further - Took this on a tour and the routes tried were really good. Same for the UK ones so far from that book. He knows a good road alright. If you only have a limited holiday time, surely its a great idea that someone has already picked out the fun roads. Much as I would love to know all the roads in Europe, I did not have the foresight to do Simon Weirs job.. LOL However, the page that shows where the routes are located in the countries could be improved by having the route shown in miniature outlines rather than a dot so you can see which short tours could be linked together more easily. The dots may look far apart but there may be some bits which you could link to others.. I guess it could do with more longer tours, ideally starting and ending a ferry ports from the UK.. Just a thought Simon.. Review: Well written and edited - Great little informative guide book

Very useful book
I used this when travelling around France and Spain for a month. I found the roads suggested to be mostly great biking roads. However, some of the info regarding cafe stops was out of date since I found at least 2 that were mentioned in the guide but were completely closed down and in fact, up for sale. A bit of a shame when I was relying on them for a food stop. Also I found many other roads along the weay that aren't mentioned so don't feel that you have to stick rigidly to the book. There are often lots of gems around that aren't mentioned! Worth having in your tankbag!

Great travel guide
Great routes although most are circular which is no use if you're going on a road trip from A-B-C. Still a great guide.

Pretty good but one glaring omission
There is no overall map showing where all the routes are located…. Which means you have to trawl through the sections figuring it out for yourself… would be so much easier if you could just see them as an overall map…

I found this book during my planning process to tour Europe on a Honda Africa Twin. Unfortunately, this book only contains disconnected day riding routes. Also, it should be noted that if you want the GPX files for the routes listed you'll have to pay extra for them. I was not aware of this when I purchased the book and when I reached out to Simon I was told the following: "The book was written to promote the website." When I purchased the book, I wasn't aware it's purpose was to "promote the website." In the end, I returned the book as it really isn't very useful when riding if you don't have the GPX files AND I'm looking to tour for 3-4 weeks at a time not do disconnected day rides. If you are looking for day rides this may be a good book for you, but it might be better (read: less expensive and more functional) to just go to his website and purchase the GPX file for the day ride you are interested in.

Mycket välskriven bok med bra bilder , kartor och fina tips. Är bibeln när man ska planera resor och vill hitta guldkornen på resan.

I've tried to order this book a number of times and I finally got it today. The first time I never received it after 3 months so I cancelled my order. I reached out to the author but he was useless and offered no help at all. Finally I was able to receive it and it's rather disappointing. Almost everything in the book can be easily found online and since there are no gps coordinates included you have to go online anyway to plan out your route. This book could have been great but my experience is that it's subpar.
