Works great
Purchased this because I was tired of my drop leg moving around too much. Took the drop leg strap and fastened it to the bottom of this and I’m back in business. Much more secure. Only issue is when sitting in the car it may dig in a little but it’s acceptable. Would recommend

Highly recommend
Love this. Its sturdy but yet flexible. Puts my weapon at the perfect height. Use it with the Safariland 6005 single strap leg rig. There are 3 adjustment heights but not a major difference. I use it on the last hole it its the right heigth for my weapon, expandable baton and OC spray. All equipment is Safariland and everything bolts up with ease.

Fills a missing gap, and stops that holster from flopping around
A lot of people, in fact I would say most people do not use a drop leg holster properly. It really should be low enough to clear the gear around your waist but a lot of people have it halfway down their thigh. You should be able to grab onto the pistol without having to extend your arm, let alone lean over. This adapter lets you keep the holster a lot higher and a lot more stable than with the normal Velcro attachment. I put the holster as far up as possible with this adapter and I only use a single leg strap. FYI I am using this holster with a GI spec 1911 pistol.

Difficult to Assemble
I love Safariland gear and usually have no issue bolting together the endless combinations of items to customize mine or my friends KITS.This piece turns a leg shroud/thigh holster into a more flexible and comfortable unit. I fitted this to an older drop leg platform with two thigh straps. What I was hoping to do is eliminate the stiff drop leg hook and loop strap that allows the adjustment of length-of-drop but also allows the thigh rig to dance around when running. The DFA is sturdier on the belt (no sliding) and flexes just enough. Designed for the smaller single strap platform it rides higher on the thigh than the other models. While this accomplishes one goal of more stability, it may not be enough drop for a specific officer. The one I installed was extended as far as possible. It is higher than usual as I said, but workable. The issue is the instructions are vague, with small (magnifying glass needed), and requires an action that has you doing 3 things at the same time: Placing a hex bolt through the DFA, included spacer, platform, and holster (or QLS if you've a mind). If you're installing a QLS then you are also holding the female end of the QLS and the flange stop/nut that the hex screw grabs onto. There are 3 to 4 of them and they don't like to line up. The first was difficult (nothing stabilizing the pieces, got to hold them just right about 5 minutes to get the hang of it). The second was easy as the first screw held everything together. The 3rd (and final) was the most difficult as all the hole(s) wouldn't line up and the stresses placed the flange stop/nut just out of reach of the hex screw.I would suggest using a drop of glue on the flange nut so you can grip the whole conglomeration easier, squeezing it into alignment so the threads can bite into each other. Once I got it attached and tightened, I just reassembled the leg straps (got rid of one) and sized it.This $20 item allowed me to recondition and repurpose an unusable thigh rig. I had to replace the thigh straps which were worn out, replace the webbing drop leg strap that was moldy and fraying with no hook-and-loop left, and I added QLS so I can change from one firearm to the next. This rig is great because it fits either duty belt or pants belt and goes onto the pants belt easy.

Extremely pleased.
I only write this review in contrast of owning a blackhawk thigh rig previously. Needless to say that a rookie in my department now owns my old rig. The multi functionality of this drop leg system is enough to buy it let alone the superior quality. It's way less bulky, lighter weight and has endless options on height of holster placement. Combined with the quick release system you can't go wrong for a patrol shift or door kicking.

Fits with some force
The holes line up with everything the fit isn’t right and requires force.

Good Value
Used only for leg holster, as part of the whole set. It is flexible, however still strong enough to hold the set. For a holster alone, it does not provide enough stability. Strong material and solid construction.

Arrived early, works as designed.
Swapped from the regular Safariland holster mount to this with the thigh mounting system, definitely a little bit more comfortable
