Neutroni has been making ready-to-wear clothing lines for over thirty years, founded on two simple premises: that our designs should enhance our customerÍs sense of style instead of our own, and that they should satisfy their essential needs rather than the whims of fashion. This means delivering long-lasting pieces based on timeless principles of simple, basic beauty. Thus, we think that our products should be of the highest level of design, craftsmanship and quality, but that they should not imply high markups. In the pursuit of these ideas, we have made our best basic tee yet. We travelled to Peru in search of one of the highest quality cottons in the world. Tanguis cotton is a long-staple variety of this fiber that has a soft touch, excellent absorption rate and high dye affinity. When processed properly, as Peruvians have mastered over the centuries, the fabric produced is not only strong, resistant and durable, but also soft and lightweight. Working with a factory that has been in business for over 15 years we developed our basic cut. The Dixon tee is lightweight yet strong; delicate, yet durable. Rid of tags at the collar and any visible logos; with a neck that is just right; and with thin, double stitched hems, it is the perfect t-shirt for the every day, but also for a special occasion. Despite the thinness and flexibility of the fabric, the tee is 100% all-natural cotton, which we have managed to give a drape and feel that is hard to find in other all-cotton tees. Neutroni has always been about establishing a dialogue between ourselves and others. It is because of this that we see what we do as a collaborative process yielding great design because it is not only informed by the opinions of designers, but also by those of the people who wear our products on a daily basis. Thus, we believe we have made a tee that can hold up to the standards of the runway, but also of the every day.
