Exceptional value
I was in the hunt for a backup headlight for my daily commuter after several instances of losing power mid-commute. I bike commute year-round in the PNW, coming and going in the dark during winter months. My primary was the Light and Motion Urban1000. Sadly, Light and Motion is no longer with us, unable to withstand the supply glut following the COVID bike boom and the onslaught of cheap, but high quality and feature rich competitors drop shipped from China, quite like the product I'm reviewing. We'll save the impact of globalization on American small businesses for later. Onto the review. This bike light is uncompromisingly excellent. While I'd planned for this as a backup, it is now my primary. The light casing and Garmin mounts are high quality. Light casing is sturdy black anodized aluminum, rubber boot on the switch, rubber cover tethered to the USB-C port located in back. The light beam is directional with a downward cast, about waist high at distance, which avoids blinding oncoming cyclists and peds (nice touch for the considerate cyclist). The mounting hardware can be removed and installed either on top or bottom of the light, depending on whether you are mounting above or below the handlebar. This is a very nice feature compared to the Urban1000, which when mounted under the bar, had to be turned upside down, resulting in the power switch and bike battery indicator both inverting under the light. This made changing the light mode more challenging, and often resulted in my failing to notice the low battery indicator causing the light to lose power mid-commute (which is why we are here). The mounting flexibility on this light avoids this problem entirely. The remote switch is an excellent feature. It pairs easily and sits neatly atop my handlebars next to the stem and opposite my bell. My commute varies from well-lit and smoothly-paved surfaces to limited illumination stretches that are littered with potholes. I prefer to ride with a flashing or breathing light mode because it is more noticeable to cars but often switch modes depending on the road conditions. The remote switch is easy to manipulate. The buttons are tactile which allows me to operate by feel alone, allowing me to keep my eyes on the road while safely switching light modes. Again, an excellent feature that considerably improves ride safety. Onto the flashing and breathing light modes. The light offers both, as well as high, medium, low brightness modes (the remote allows you to easily switch between all modes). I prefer the breathing mode which gradually increases and reduces the intensity of the light. The breathing mode in this light is a considerable improvement over the same mode in the Urban1000. It is a faster breathing cadence, and significantly brighter. Whereas the breathing mode on the Urban1000 was more about creating a visible signal for oncoming drivers, the same mode in this light accomplishes that without compromising the light's primary function of illuminating the road ahead. Win win! The only thing I cannot comment on (yet) is the battery life. If I find this insufficient, I will update the review, though given my experience thus far, I'm optimistic. Altogether, very very happy with this purchase. The value for the price is a step function higher than where the bike light market has been in the past decade (I've been doing this bike commute thing for a while now). I still keep the Urban1000 in my messenger bag as a backup, and a memento of the halcyon days of American bike light manufacturing. Highly recommend.

Bright, rugged and reliable budget light
I generally don’t write reviews for products unless they are really good. This light is one of those that deserves a 6 star rating! The light is bright enough to light up the road for road biking and charge lasts really long! Eg: I kept in on in the night mode for an hour and then in the daylight blinking mode for 8 hours in my previous century ride; the charge held up! I have been using mine since last 2 years and I don’t think the battery life has degraded. Works as great as the branded ones for a quarter of the price!

Great mountable light that illuminates far enough ahead to be used for biking at night.
I bought these lights to mount to an electric skateboard as a less expensive option for the e-board specific lighting options. I eventually got multiple sets of the ShredLights anyway (but not because these didn’t work). These are well constructed, sturdy metal housing and are bright. I needed something tough because eating it on an e-board going 20mph will destroy most things in your hand. The mounting options I used were all essentially “GoPro” type mounts (there are several) which worked, but not well on a urethane wheeled skateboard that can travel on roads (or off) at up to 30mph. These road vibrations are extreme for a hard mount. On a pneumatic tired bike or helmet, these lights would work awesome. In fact, since I have the skateboard-specific lighting now, we use these as handhelds. They are totally bright enough and have a little diffusion area on the top of the lens to help with not blinding on coming traffic if held in the proper orientation. They have high and low (and strobe, but who’d use that)? They charge fast and have indicators. The battery lasts a few night rides between charging on high settings. If you’re looking for an relatively inexpensive, quality light that actually illuminates the path ahead effectively and can be mounted using readily available mounts then this light is a good option. I’ve tried others also and this is the best.

True 600lm? I think so
I got the the 600lm one at 26 usd plus tax..I didn't think much about it because this is a spare light..I have 2 smaller in size that have 2 LEDs per light so those are brighter and were about the same price, BUT this light is well made and the battery is 4 or 5 times larger ..the ones I have before only last about an hour on high..I have not used this one on a long ride yet so I can only go by the specs listed..we all know they are generally over rated ..this light is by far a much better built light with good features than the ones I had..I like the auto on and off..I will order the one with the remote and hope the remote works them both..its bright enough for trail riding because of the way the lens focuses the beam ..I would get the 1800lm one for down hill or mtn biking..I ride on dirt backroads and trails at a maximum of 30mph or so and it's fine for that speed..update..the vibration sensor to activate light in smart mode is much much to sensitive..my sound system triggers it very easy ..

A bright under mount lite with quality construction.
I bought it because of the under mounting option and the bracket fit my trip computer mount. Just received it and used it for a day so I cannot comment on the reliability. But it has a very solid fell. I think the case is aluminum. The light if bright enough for daytime riding and I like the blinking options and automatic mode to shut it off. The only negative are the instructions. They are in many languages and the English version is not well done also some of the instructions seem to be for another device. But it has only one button so not hard to figure it out- no need to knock it down a star for that.

Would definitely recommend
Great light! Really good battery life. Very bright. About a third of the price of many other lights. No issues with big bumps on a road bike.

Simple and bright
Simple and bright. I like that it has the pulsating flash, usb-c, it has a garmin mount that can be unscrewed and mounted under the garmin computer. Holds a charge, and solid build.
