Dropped my old remote and it stopped working. Got this replacement and it was a literally a 1 minute setup (battery + changing the interior setting). Once I checked the interior setting (which was moving 2 pins), the remote immediately started working. So happy.

my old remote has button issues this worked great out of the box. controlled the fan and lights, with no issue. Glad I got it.

My mother washed her remote for her ceiling fan rendering it useless. This is a perfect replacement - just match the codes from the old remote and we are back in business

I had a hard time getting it to work as I was using an older battery and it was bulging and was hard to fit into the battery case. I contacted support at the seller and was sent a new remote to try. Same thing, but then I decided to take a chance and bought a new Duracell battery and it fit and worked first time just like it was supposed to. Maybe older batteries get wonky? - (and the first battery was an off brand)I appreciate the help I received from the seller, Summit Link.Anyway, I advise all who are having trouble getting the remote to work for their Hampton Bay fan to do two things: Make sure you are using a fresh battery and also make sure the switches are set to the same code as your fan.

Turns lights on, but not the fan. DIP switches are correctly set. By the time our maintenance man was able to program it at our vacation condo, it was past the 30 day return window. We got hosed. I don't think this is actually Hampton Bay. I think this is a knock off product.

Our fan and light had not worked in a few months (our old remote had broken) was not expecting to receive a remote that synced and worked right off the bat. The code is usually 1234 to program and so, it worked literally the minute I took it out of the package. If you know you have a Hampton Bay fan, this product is totally worth it!

I was a littled skeptical that this remote would work with my ceiling fan especially after reading some of the reviews which stated that the battery did not last long. So, I was quite happy that once the battery was installed, I was able to switch on the different speeds of the fan as well the light. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Could not for the life of me figure out how to get it to work (there's a pile of switches inside, and I tried every combination). Now, I saw someone else's comments that with enough effort, you can get it to pair with the remote - HOWEVER - this was not a replacement remote! I wanted two. One for upstairs and one for downstairs. But a new pairing would make the other one useless.Memo to self: next time I buy a fan, check the situation with the remotes instead of just assuming it would be something sane, useful, and intuitive. Because this fan and remote combo just doesn't cut it.
