All 4 sprouted within 2 weeks!
All of them germinated and sprouted within two weeks, im so happy! I started germination on 2/27. The basil grew sprouts within a week & then the other three grew in two weeks! The Parsley is growing at the fastest rate! Here are some pro tips & what I did to make these babies grow!•soil disc- I used a strainer and let the water run over the soil disc. For me it just kind of dissolved so soil just mixed with the water instead of it expanding like they say it will, which is why the strainer helped. I made sure to squeeze out the soil really well so that it was not over saturated•the seeds I did as instructed in 4 jars and left out for almost 24 hours. The cilantro had the most bad seeds (still floating) but i put some of the bad with the good anyways. They all had good and bad seeds but more good then bad! I also used more seeds then they say too but spreading them out on the soil so they dont over lap•I did my best to follow instruction on the distance to cover then with soil. They say 1/4” cover with soil but how the hell are you going to be able to eyeball that going into a container lol. I just did light soil covering the seeds•I had the containers with seeds In a grow box which has auto grow lights on 12 hrs off 12 hrs. I feel like this is a huge part of them germinating so well!•After I planted the seeds, I watered them everyday. Make sure to keep the soil moist!Overall, if you just follow the instructions you will have success! I definitely recommend buying a grow light or having full sun on them. I also recommend the strainer method and making sure soil is squeezed out well!Highly recommend!!

Best herb garden project to work on with kids!!
Comes with explicit directions, very easy to understand. I bought this for my grandkids ages 7 & 8 as a project to do with me. There is some prep work so do not expect to open the box and add soil to the seeds, as they must be soaked for a couple of days. I like the burlap containers to plant them in, as well as the sticks that name each herb. The kids are excited to get their herb garden going. Very good for the price. Not cheaply made.

Great mini herb garden project!
I have waited for a little to write my review. It's a great product - with easy to follow instructions. I didn't know what to expect when I first started this mini project of mine. It was such a great surprise to see two out of four (cilantro and basil) sprouted on Day 7! Today on Day 13, I see the first sprout for parsley. Thanks to California weather! It was a wonderful addition to the household - that my husband and I would look at these babies the first thing in the morning, to check if they are growing well!I hesitated a little before the purchase because some buyers mentioned that the seeds wouldn't sprout. I am glad that didn't happen as $25 for a herb garden kit was quite a splurge. However, today I saw some mold growth on the pot. Although this is not the fault of the product, this could potentially happen. So buyers please take note!I took a star off because I hadn't anticipated that the re-hydration of soil would be such a mess.

Love the little pots.
This was a gift for my daughter. It was missing the chives and the another of the herb packets was empty when she opened it. So it only had 2 seed packs.

Terrible quality
I don't think I've ever written a 1 star review, and to be honest, I feel bad doing so, but these herbs are not worth the $15 in my opinion. The day after I planted the seeds into the pots, my bags turned brown/black. I have been planting my own herbs for 4 years now so I know how to do it. I purchased this 4 pack seed starter kit as part of a gardening event my church was hosting, and I am so disappointed that I wasted my money on this. The only thing I like about this kit is the cute herb sticks it comes with. The brown bag pots are cute, but they are not ideal. I have contacted customer service, so I will see what they offer to me. I'm hoping I can get my money back, because even after 10 days, I see no signs of germination either, which is extremely disappointing.

Great instructions, sturdy little pots
Waiting for the seeds to sprout, but the prep was easy enough. I never knew to soak the seeds before planting and I am hoping that makes a difference to my success, never having had any previously with other kits

It's difficult to type this with these green thumbs I now have!
Okay, let me start this by saying I can't keep any plant alive. I bought this on a quarantine-whim and felt wholly overwhelmed when I absent-mindedly flipped through the instruction manual. HOWEVER - When I actually read the instructions, I felt encouraged and here I am a couple weeks in and all four have sprouted! They are cute and strong and really such a great gift to give yourself or to someone else. I could see this being a great activity to do with a kid as well. Highly recommend!

Great customer service.
I'm giving this product a 2 instead of a 1 because the customer service representative was very nice and refunded me for the kit quickly. While the instructions were good and the pots, potting mix and seeds and name posts seemed fine, even after following all the instructions and placing under grow lights, the cilantro and parsley never grew and the chives only one sprout which promptly died. The basil sprouted fast with many but soon started to develop purple blackish spots. Checked with a plant nursery and told me most likely the soil mix was contaminated and what I was seeing was a bacterial disease and to remove it and anything else I used that same mix. Then clean and disinfect the area and even the grow light. Which I did. And started over with a different company for potting mix and another for the seeds. Those are doing very well now. So, maybe this was just bad luck or a fluke or a bad batch and all their other kits are good. I only know mine wasn't, BUT they were VERY nice about it and did have great customer service. I had my refund in about 24 hours! But I would have preferred having successful plants more.
