My 2015 Camry had a small nick in the 'leather' seat edge. It looked like someone had used wire nippers or nail clippers and just taken out a small chunk. This product is basically a quick drying, flexible polymer that can be used to fill in holes, cracks and tears. Because my repair was a divot that needed filling, it took several applications to build up. The product is easy to work with, especially if you're doing a little at a time. My seats are matte black and the repair is absolutely 100% seamless. It dries with a slight gloss, but that can be dulled using rubbing alcohol AFTER it has cured. Because my repair was so small I used toothpicks to apply several coats, allowing maybe 15 minutes for it to dry in between.There are several types of repairs you could complete with this product, mine being the easiest. Large tears would require more work and be less seamless, but this is definitely a great, low cost product for DIY'ers. There are lots of tips and tricks in these reviews, search around and you'll be pleased.

The color mixing was well described and it was easy to use. The rip in the leather ottoman was about 3-4 inches and although it sealed it well, I had thought it would make the rip more invisible. The particular product I think would work well on smaller tears and close them more seamlessly, but the tear was a little large and deep for the "glue" to really cover up the tear. I'd recommend it for smaller tears for its ease of use, color matching, clean up, and the product did seal up and stop the tear from growing.

I initially purchased this to use on my car seats but haven't had the chance yet. Instead, I recently had the leather of an expensive handbag replaced and somehow got it nicked! I was sooo upset but remembered I had purchased this leather repair kit and I thought i would give it a shot. The area was ver small that I had to repair, less than a half inch, but it was just enough to repair or hide depending on the outcome. I didn't care for the mixing instructions because the color I needed wasn't there. So I just kind of winged it until I got near the color I wanted and then I added a bit of white because the directions said that the colors dried a bit darker. There wasn't a way for me to smooth the compound onto the leather so I ended up putting a bit more than I wanted and then using my finger to lightly pat the color down and smooth it. I left it to dry overnight and the color is perfect. The texture is a bit rough and the directions suggest going over the area with rubbing alcohol to get rid of the excess but I don't want to damage the surrounding leather so I'm unsure of doing that. I'm not sure how helpful this post will be but I am overall satisfied that the nick is fixed and it looks much better. But on my car seat I will definitely have to search online how to use it more before tackling that project.

Coconix is the right company for your leather repairs! I read a bunch of reviews online for products offered on Amazon and decided Coconix was the one to try. I was not disappointed. My family is in the process of moving. We have been spot painting and getting the house in top listing shape. The house looks amazing, but a few of our leather chairs where not going to show well at all… and possibly cast a shadow on our home. We ended up with a grapefruit sized tear on one headrest, and a few long wear marks on the other. I unfortunately didn't take before pictures, but I do have the in between pics. They are wet now, and I will need to follow-up once they dry with rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball after they dry, to smooth out the area. Unless you are looking up close you cannot even notice the areas. Before the repair, they were huge eye sores. I am so glad I decided to try this on my own and not call a professional company to do the repairs. The media room chairs look so good, I decided to cover a few spots on two different office chairs we have as well. The difference is night and day. Now your eye is not drawn to those spots, and the chairs have new life.Beyond the fact that the product solved my problem, and the fix was a minimal cost, the company was amazing to work with!
