I am loving my new shower head filter! Recently I noticed how dry and brittle my hair was getting even though I've been using quality shampoo and conditioner I asked my friend who works in a salon and she told me it could be the hard water I was washing my hair with that was causing my unmanageable hair. She suggested I get a filtering shower head and see if that would help. I'm so glad I followed her advise. After using this for the past week, I can already tell a difference in my hair. It is no longer hard to manage and dry after I wash it. I can even tell a difference in my skin--it's also softer and looks better. I wish I had discovered this product sooner.This shower head specifically is made really well. It's easy to install and is very good quality. I anticipate it will filter for about 6 months before the filter needs to be replaced. I am very impressed with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone out there looking for a good quality shower head filter for hard water.

If you have extremely hard water you will be replacing this every 1-2 months. But longer if youre the 5 minute shower dude

Bought this filter and installed it, and the difference was noticed right away the water feels "light"? Not heavy, after taking a shower you can feel smoother skin and hair feel clean and more manageable. I wanted to buy 3, but limited to 1 filtr per customer? The price is very good, but restrictions frick me out! If i am selling, tell me how many and i deliver. Anyways, good product for great price, i recommend it.

This did not soften the water at all. We had the water tested and it did not change the water hardness at all.

So I got this because where my husband and I live we have only one option for water service and it is the most horrible water ever. Before we realized how bad it was we actually were drinking it and my husband almost had to go to the ER before we finally figured out it was the water that was making him so deathly ill. It literally makes you feel more dirty when you are done showering too. I was desperate for a filter but didn't feel like paying $50+ so when I was looking I got this on sale for $13 and so far I love it! The first time I took a shower after I got out my hair actually felt clean. I didn't spend 40min in the shower trying to wash my hair just to come out and still have a gross film in it. I actually came out of a 10 min shower CLEAN! I am going to buy another one for sure I just hope it is still on sale lol. My biggest concern is just that it won't last long because our water is just that utterly gross...hence why I hope it stays on sale LOL. Overall great product so far only had it about a week but we love it!

We have hard well water and after reading the reviews for this product it sounded like a great value for addressing the water quality in our shower. After 3 weeks of using this product, there are no noticeable changes to the water quality. I am disappointed to find that my skin actually responded negatively to the change with a break out in body acne. Discouraging. I plan to give it another month to see if there are any improvements but so far I'm really disappointed. The set-up is as easy as everyone reports.

I don't think this unit makes water any different.
