So I just completed my install of this unit in a 1994 Nissan Hardbody 4x4 truck. The cheap unit I had was cutting in and out power wise due to the door (flip down) on the unit was loosing the connection and power cycling and this was very annoying. I wanted a cheap simple replacement unit to just run a usb thumbdrive for audiobooks. For ten dollars more this unit had all these features and I was like . . .lets roll the dice on this and hope for the best. My thinking is based on the following. I don't want to have my windows broken out for a high end JVC or whatever 500 dollar head units they have out there. So for 50 bucks done deal. The truck is 24yrs old and the cab is just for two people and I only have left and right door speakers, but a very small space. But I do have more road news as this is a 4x4 and the truck seals etc so you know what I was calculating for on this gamble. To start, I am beyond impressed. Everything works as advertised, the screen is ideal for this unit. I purchased a round seating reverse camera (aftermarket)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076MQJFVF/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1The camera needs 12v in the rear of the truck, along with a ground. It has a ring of led lights so full time power from ignition would just burn the lights full time, so I tapped into the 12v hot reverse line for power and a ground. This way when I put the truck (manual) reverse, it gets 12volts. comes on, operates then shuts off so its duty cycle is only when backing up.I pulled the seat in the cab and ran a line from the connector under the seat to the stereo area for the reverse control (you want the 12vdc line when reverse is engaged), and I ran the video cable from the rear of the truck up under the seat and then ran both lines to the stereo area.I already had a harness from the old system so simply applied the left and right speakers (front in my case), the yellow memory line, and the reverse control. OF NOTE, now is the time to run the Handbrake A1 line to GROUND to disable the stupid you no watcha any movie while driving crap. Finally, ground and hot lines and taped, soldered, wire tie etc for a nice clean wiring harness.Pairing the bluetooth to iphone . .no brainer and simplistic.SD card I put like 6 movies on, some H.264 1080 some 720 some avi some mp4 and it played them all no issues.USB drive I put on audiobooks and it worked like a champ. (Note - folders do not work to separate audio books, and you have to copy the files one at a time in SEQUENCE or it will play out of order.)If you are listening to the radio or audio book or music files etc, and go into reverse the video pops up showing the reverse camera then returns to your audio book after you are out of reverse.IF you are watching a movie, the reverse camera does NOT come on if you grounded the handbrake signal (think about it and the light bulb will come on as to why this happens).Radio picks up signals well, the volume levels for my small cab more than adequate. Phone calls work great.Screen is viewable for reversing without any real noticable I wishes. Obviously if the sun is glaring on the screen do not expect the screen to adjust for you, reality is reality..The controls are odd in how you navigate and do things and it does take some time to get what it expects but once you get the pattern it becomes no problem. It is not ideal but for 50 bucks it rocks. Now mind you I just finished installing and testing everything so I can't speak to durability over time. But for 50 bucks to get all this thing delivers, and the increased options this thing gives you to take an old 24yr old truck and get all the 2017 goodies? Man you can not beat this. Two final notes. USB is 2.0 (not 3.0) and is not able to phone charge. Do not expect it to.Needless to say, the gamble as of now was awesome on return. Everything works, it does what it should the way I would expect it to and delivers everything I wanted plus 4 or 5 more things that I didn't have all well. I can't believe 50 bucks got me all that working like it was factory for the truck. AWESOME!

Hoping for the best...
So there are pros and cons with this radio... some of the cons might be unfounded... but here goes...Pros: > Fantastic radio reception quality, picks up stations way better than the previous radio > Plays everything I have thrown at it, mp3, mp4... well that is all I have... > Back up camera worked as expected even though I had bought the camera years ago. > Very light weight and about half the size of a radio that contains DVD playback (this one does not have one).Cons: > The quality feels off. Hard to explain... the metal feels thin... the plastic, idk... its just the feeling > Bootup time is a bit long. I can back up fully before I even get the welcome screen. > Would like to have had better documentation... I wound up mixing up the backup camera with the handbrake wire because it was not clear if it was pin 1 or 2. There were colors listed for the speakers but not for the others. > Would like to have some sort of ambient sensor to tame down the radio's light level at night ... not a big deal > After asking a specific question regarding the backup video camera the seller replied with a generic reply that had nothing to do with the question. I would have preferred "I don't know" over a generic response.I hope it will last a little while...

Awesome Stereo for a great value.
Installed in a 1994 S10 Blazer that has a 1.5 DIN stereo that quit working. Wasn't sure what to expect for the price, but trust the good reveiws. It sounds great (even with my stock speakers), looks great, and is easy to install. I did buy the Scosche GM02B wire harness & Scosche GM1500B Trim kit which did make the install easy and finished look, look great going from 1.5 DIN to a single DIN. So many functions nice to have blue tooth, usually play my own music (spotify) over preset stations. sound is really good. This does not have a touch screen (some reviewers are confused), what it does have is a small remote you can use instead of using control buttons on stereo. I find using the remote is easy and better than using stereo controls. It does have a bit of a learning curve and intructions on use are very limited. but if you stick with it you can figure it out. If you are thinking about it, buy it, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Great features and sound for the money
Outstanding for the money, however the first one malfunctioned and would not turn off when the vehicle was turned off. No, I do know how to wire them and install them. This was actually a glitch in the unit itself. Sent it back and I'm now trying the second one. All in all, a lot of features for the money. Head units do not need to be big and bulky like they used to when they had mechanicals in them. This one may at first seem cheap, light, and tinny but you will be surprised at the features and performance for the dollar.
