Filament makes very nice prints once dried
I have bought Taulman filament from Matterhackers previously and had to dry my filament then also. I tried this filament straight out of the box and it made a ton of steam and popping coming out of the extruder. I baked it overnight in my small toaster oven at 175F and then keep the filament in a sealed spool stand with my evadry dehumidifier inside while printing. If you leave the filament out it will absorb water within about a day and need to be dried again. Despite the need to keep the filament very dry I like this filament a lot. It prints cleanly and makes very tough parts. It can also be dyed.

Too wet to use out of the bag.
I'll have to update once I get it dry.. but initially... SO wet.. I've printed with off the shelf string trimmer line and it was MUCH more dry than this.Trying to print this sounds like frying chicken. Unusable as is. Steam forcing ooze out horribly.. unusable. Has a descant in the bag.. but no where near enough protection apparently Comes in a sandwich bag type material. Not vac packed.

not hard like a brick though)
I tossed it in a ziplock and had no trouble with moisture. I didn't have any trouble printing with it using abs glue (melted abs in acetone) printed on 3m blue tape. Don't make the mistake i did though, the toughness (strength) isn't the same as hardness. So, it's actually rather tough but also flexible (meaning it won't tear, not hard like a brick though).

Dont waste your money
Have tried different temperatures, speed and no luck. As of right now a waste of time and money until I get time to experiment more.

Bullet proof
This stuff is bullet proof. You have t print it at about 245 to get it to work proper and need that fiberglass build platform to get it to stick but once you have it dialed in are good to go. I had a question and sent an email on a Sat night about 9pm. To my suprise Mr Taulman himself emailed me back about 10 min later. We went back and fourth for an hour or two that night and the next few days. What a great way to stand behind your product. The end result was a small 2" Diameter .25" thick test gear that I hit 2 or 3 times with a 3lb sledge and didn't make a dent.WOW is all I could say.Other than the crazy heat this stuff is rock star!!Cant wait to try the other Taulman filaments

Four Stars
Quality of filament size and circularity very good and most importantly consistent throughout spool.
