Del Monte® Quartered Artichoke Hearts 14 oz. Can, 12 Pack

I keep Del Monte whole or quartered artichoke hearts in my pantry as a staple. So my reviews for each are pretty much the same. Just depends on if you want the larger pieces (whole) or the smaller pieces (quartered). I find that the quartered saves me a step, and is easier to distribute in a recipe.I dont go through a lot of artichoke hearts, but I love having them on hand. I buy by the case because the price per can is better deal than in store nearly always.I find that artichoke hearts add a bit of flavor and texture in a variety of dishes. Also makes nice addition to a quick pasta meal. Just simple cooked pasta, some butter or olive oil, salt and pepper and a can of artichokes. Add more of whatever if you have time, inclination.These have good taste and texture. Not at all hard to chew and not at all too mushy. Soft, yes, but not mush. Holds up fine in pasta. Perfect for dips. Budget friendly. I like bulking out my meals, and sometimes a little artichoke is nice as they are so low in calories. These are packed in brine. Not oil. So yeh, taste will be a little more tangy. I lightly rinse mine. Looks good.I have added to pasta, sandwiches, added to dips, added to roasted vegetables, etc.For quick sandwich, I like making a smashed bean paste (butter bean or garbanzo bean)-- not quite hummus but same idea. Spread it on bread, top with artichokes and fire roasted red pepper slices, then grill it. Cheese optional.

Easy to open and high quality. Better than another brand I was using.

Good to use in salads or make homemade dips.

The artichokes in the can are not mushy. The leaves are in tact even though they have been quartered. The flavor is very good and they fry well. I will definitely order them again.

Purchased this because it a small amount of extra additives and sodium. Will purchase in the future!

The box came in another box and looked fine. If I had a grocery store I would have no problem receiving this case. Every can but one is dented! How do you do that 🤷🏻‍♂️🤔???I'm not going to return them because I live out in the country and I'd spend more in gas. But this is a problem with the Del Monte factory. I don't know how these cans could have been dented in the case. I'll look inside the cans when I empty them to see if the lining is cracked, and if so it's animal feed. This is unacceptable. A waste of money. I can get them from WM and at least inspect the cans. I think these must have deliberately sold as dented. Because they had to be put in the case at the factory like this, but the Amazon listing didn't mention that they were all damaged cans😡

While these artichoke hearts were a little watery in flavor, there was nothing off, or bad at all. I almost changed to 5 stars for flavor three times so far. This is such a great deal. I mean, you have to buy a whole case to get this price, but it is nice to have a can or two on standby just in case; plus I found myself using them in unusual ways because I got such a good deal, and had a whole case to get through. Worth it, totally worth it.
