The dogs love it.
**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Paws — “My Dog Eats Better Than I Do.”** Let me start by saying: if there were a Michelin Guide for dog food, **Canidae All Life Stages Multi-Protein Recipe** would definitely earn a 5 star (or at least a slobbery paw print of approval). This stuff has *everything* — chicken, turkey, lamb, and fish. It’s basically the dog version of a surf-and-turf buffet. My pup acts like he’s dining at a five-star restaurant every time I open the bag. The tail starts wagging before I even get the scoop out, and the drool levels? Frankly, impressive. The multi-protein formula means I can finally stop playing "guess the kibble" with different foods for different ages. It’s good for puppies, adults, seniors — basically anyone with fur and an appetite. I’ve got one energetic zoomie machine and one chill couch potato, and somehow this food pleases both. Bonus points: it doesn’t have that overpowering “dog food smell” that makes you question your life choices when you open the bag. My kitchen still smells like a kitchen — not a kennel. And let’s be honest: the ingredient list is cleaner than most of the takeout I eat. At this point, I’m half tempted to sprinkle it on my salad. **Bottom line:** If you want shiny coats, happy bellies, and the satisfaction of knowing your dog is eating better than most college students, this is the kibble to get. Just be prepared for your pup to start expecting white tablecloth service at dinner time.

Great Dog food
This is some good quality dog food. My dog seems to really like it and he is super healthy from it. I have fed him Canidae food since he was a puppy and he has a good soft coat and healthy skin etc etc

Highly Recommend
Pups love it! Their skin issues are resolved within a month of transitioning to this dogfood. Ingredient quality promotes a healthy diet perfect size bag for our two Goldens. Product is always fulfilled and arrives as needed.

One of the better options at this price point
So my two dogs (7 and 8) seem to love this stuff and have been on it for years. We had to switch one of our dogs to raw fed as she she was having trouble with kidney stones and lack of moisture in her diet. She still really likes this stuff though and always wants a cheeky treat now and then. Its still a good go to for training purposes, or a quick reward. Our other dog eats this only, and is a happy camper, healthy coat, always playing. We searched a long time looking for a decent kibble that wasn't crazy money and still was healthy enough. This brand is on the "lower" end of the "best you can get" but is solid choice and consistent. For the money I think is one of the best you can get without spending over a hundred bucks a bag. We get the 44lb bag and it last our 50-60lb pooch nearly 2 months. With the cost of everything these days spiraling out of control, its decent value for a pretty decent kibble option. I have looked into switching it up, but i honestly cant find anything that compares to the quality and price ratio.

High quality, Fair price
For the price point, this is an excellent quality dry dog food. I feed three different breeds and life stages and they all do well on this food and seem to enjoy the taste. One of my dogs has tried multiple other foods and always had skin and coat issues which resolved when switching to this food. You should be mindful that the multi-protein recipe contains four different proteins, so if there are new ingredients your dog hasn’t been exposed to, you may want to try introducing them to those before purchasing the food to ensure they aren’t allergic.

BEWARE - PUP GOT SICK
I have been using Canidae since I adopted my pup at 2 months old. After much research all over the internet, and attempting to buy the safest, non processed food, with lots of health benefits to it, I went ahead and bought Canidae as it was the best dog food out there for its price. Fast forward: My pup is now a year and 2 months old, I bought a new batch of his food about a month ago, which I noticed looked more processed by the way - the dog food looked lighter brown (as opposed to its usual cocoa puffs dark brown color), and the kibble had shrunk in size. A 30 pound bag when I received the shipment looked like it had 20 pounds of food inside like a lays chips bag with mostly air inside. So I already had my suspicions about something being wrong with the dog food. I start feeding it to my pup 2 weeks ago, and he gets sick! My pup's diet mainly consists of Canidae and water. He hasn't gotten any snacks lately as the vet recommended to lessen them as its like candy for dogs and candy for humans aren't good, so imagine for dogs? So there's no way, anything else could have gotten him sick. Every morning this past week I noticed my pup had diarrhea all over his doggy house, bloody stool at times, looked sad, and he'd vomit or gag randomly. I took him to the vet and after testing, the vet stated he has salmonella and that happens due to dog food being handled by the wrong manufacturers, and recalls don't happen until pet parents like myself speak up. I've had salmonella myself when I traveled abroad once, and I don't wish it upon my worst enemy, so I feel terrible that my pup has to deal with this horrible sickness because dog food companies can't get it right, and they only think about the money involved, and not the well being of their clients. Also, a while ago I saw a friend's pup get sick with his dog food from Natural Balance having the same issue, and the food got recalled so I was highly upset to say the least that this is a reoccurring issue with all dog food companies. Now I basically have an entire bag of Canidae food that's garbage. And it ran me up with a vet bill, and has my pup extremely sick. They have a guarantee label on the back of packaging that states to send back the food if not satisfied with the product and you'll get your money back. But realistically speaking, how inconvenient is that? I purchased a 30 pound bag.. maybe have 20 pounds left... I already paid for shipping of the product, why do I have to pay it again for something I don't want, and is useless? Mailing it back just sounds like they're going to repackage it for the next chump to feed their dog with. My only way to let other pet parents know to NOT purchase this is through Amazon because that's where I bought it. Highly disappointed that Amazon would sell this to innocent fur babies! You'd think by this point Amazon would have a quality check when their name is on the line when selling products for third party vendors. I will be switching foods and will stop supporting Canidae after a year of buying it! They have lost a loyal customer!

I was very surprized at the size of this product which I am otherwise familiar with and have used for years. My original review was not allowed as it may have used a word that rhymed with pram. Please read the description very very carefully.
