Really liked this gate - I actually use it to block off the bottom of a staircase that juts out past the wall. Works well for this purpose. Was not easy to put together - took a little head scratching and needed help from a friend, but once we got it together I was pleased with the result.

The fireplace gate works great! We put it together without the piece with the gate on it because they didn’t send us the correct part to put it on with but we made it work. We have a toddler that likes to run up to our gas furnace and this keeps him from getting burnt. The instructions are simple as well if you aren’t that great at putting things together so that’s also a plus.

It came broken. If it had not been broken, it would have not been durable. A complete waste of time and money.

The instructions suck for building, I’d rate it a zero star if I could
