Strong and Sturdy
This is a very strong and sturdy laptop case. Fits perfectly on my work laptop and keeps it from getting nasty. Cleans up very well from daily use.

For Dell Latitude 5420 NOT Dell Inspiron 5420
These two Dell laptops both have14 inch screens and are assigned the same model number but are not the same dimensions. I made this mistake, referring only to the model number. This case, designed for the Latitude 5420, is about1/4" too wide and 1/4" shy in depth to fit the Inspiron 5420. The case appears well made and hopefully will fit the Latitude nicely. Stupid me for not paying attention and stupid Dell for applying the same model number to two distinctly different laptops.

Love it!
Love this clear case for my work computer. I have added some pictures inside instead of sticking sticker to the laptop. The clear was perfect for this reason.

Leaves all ports accessible, but reduces the angle
I got the transparent one for Latitude 5420. Time will show if it is durable, but in terms of the installation, fit, and looks, it is four stars. There were no instructions or indications which way it goes, so it took some experimenting to attach it. It has a thin profile and all the ports are open. Beware that it reduces the angle to open the laptop. Beyond the right angle the two parts of the cover start touching and get in the way of opening the laptop any further.

Seems perfect
It fits very well and doesn't fall off. Looks good, too; not too bulky. I'm very happy so far. We will see what happens when I am using the laptop daily when school starts.

The fit
The hard case was what expected. But the top cover didn't fit well. The bottom cover fit perfectly.
