Just installed this automatic door closer in my office, and it’s been fantastic! No more coworkers leaving the door open or loud slamming noises disrupting meetings. Needed this for my garage door that was slamming and knocking off my Ring alarm contact sensor. I followed the template and spent a little time tweaking the tension and it works perfectly. Still closes all the way, but now without slamming. Notes: - Hold the instructions up to your door and drill through the holes. Took me a second to realize it was a guide. - To adjust the tension/speed of the door closing, you can either loosen the screws nest the door hinges (faster close) or tighten them (slower close). You can also angle the rod that connects the pieces together away from the hinges to decrease tension and make the door a little easier to open. Highly recommend for getting a smoother closing door.

First of all, there were supposed to be six (6) screws to attach the unit to the door and the frame. There were only five (5) in the package. Fortunately, I have a huge supply of miscellaneous screws I've collected over the years and I found two long ones to go into the door frame. Next, The template of where to drill holes for the mounting screws worked perfectly. But, there was no mention of what size drill to use (not a biggy) and other installation instructions were all but non-existent. After playing with the two adjustment screws for quite a while, I got it working just fine. I expected a lot of trial and error in this phase of setup, so I wasn't disappointed in this. Unit does everything I wanted it to do and was a very good value for the money. Highly recommended in spite of the poor installation instructions.

Absolutely zero value for the money. Installation wasn’t bad but the mechanism (opening/closing of the door) was really hard to adjust. I had to return the product as it was very difficult to open and close the door even after adjusting the screws. Waste of money and bad built. I went with this item looking at the reviews but I was so disappointed. Never again will I ever buy this or recommend this to anyone.

So far so good. THE KIDS CANT SLAM THE DOOR!!!!!! i bought these for 2 reasons. the kids leave the door open all the time AND/OR they slammed the door. Both problems solved. the template is easy to follow if you have any experience putting a screw into wood. BUT... the molding for me pulled off the wall. So, be prepared to use a longer screws to secure the molding to the beams behind the molding. i also needed to use some liquid nails and tooth picks to help hold the closer to the trim. FYI guys... my wife complained at first but now she’s loving it. i’d buy these for every door i have.

The product itself is great. Well constructed and it does what it is supposed to. There are two problems though: the hardware and the instructions. To start, the screws included are 1/2". That means that if you use the included screws on the door frame, you are only screwing this into the trim and not the more substantial frame of the door. If you do this, the screws will eventually either rip out or rip your door trim off. You need to go out and buy longer screws to install this properly. The second and more pressing problem is the instructions. The templates included in the package are dead wrong. If you install this consistent with the template, the unit will not clear the door, and the arm will not have enough travel to allow the door to open fully. I am an experienced handyman, and it still took several hours of trial and error to figure out the correct placement of the unit on the door. Thank goodness it is installed on the inside of a pantry door, so the 15 or so screw holes I made trying to figure out the correct placement won't show. If you are not mechanically inclined or need this installed correctly on the first go, I would suggest looking for a different product.

This closer is fantastic! It's super quiet and was easy to install, the door from my garage would slam all the time, but once I installed this closer the door closes so quietly that I don't even realize the door was open in the first place. The installation was a breeze, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow, I had it installed and adjusted in about an half hour. This closer is a great value for it's price point.

I bought the 200 model because I needed a parallel arm feature with 180 degree opening. I paid $77 in November 2023, now I see them for $29, if I needed another one I would buy it. Anyway, this is a great little closer. I've installed hundreds of commercial closers over the years, this one installed very easy, the template actually worked too. The adjustments for swing and latch are easily accessed and it adjusts just how I would like it. My only problem with it is that it is on my shop door and the shop is often cold in the winter until I warm it up. The cold affects the hydraulics in the closer and I find I have to tweak it from time to time through the colder days, but that is minor in my situation.

It was funny when I saw the "sexy" description, but they are somehow right. This door closer works perfectly and it is elegant and slick. Adjustment is also easy. Although I did not use the template, I followed the measurements that are in it, and the installation was straight forward. Although the figures are clear, I would recommend to include some written instructions. Very good product.

only a few days, Hydraulic fluid leaked out. It is refurbished but seller never indicated that

Better than expected given excellent price.. Good quality, made in India, easy install, fully adjustable, works as advertised, perfectly. No hesitation to recommend!!
