I bought this because our smart TV didn’t have enough hdmi ports and also for an old Nintendo. Haven’t hooked up the Nintendo yet but it works great for our Directv and DVD player. Hooked it up in minutes. I had to contact the seller and got an immediate, helpful response. Glad I bought it!

Used to hook up old Sony vcr to new tv that did not have rca ports. but picture would not work properly switched to a different vcr and picture was fine also use sega and ps2 works

Hooked this up so newer systems could use the old vcr and wii once in a while. It failed to work, simply providing an unhelpful error message which didn't yield any useful information for internet searches.I'd have been tickled if it worked. It was two months ago I tried to use it and will be looking elsewhere to find one that functions now that I need to use the vcr to review old recordings.

I have no issue with the form factor and initially the installation seems easy. However, the problem is the switcher requires EXACTLY a 5V 1A USB Adapter to power on (which does NOT come in the box)! So after searching, I tried several adapters labeled with this rating, the product still refused to work. The best result I got was plugging the USB cable to power it on into the TV itself, which now works flawlessly.If the company provided the power cable upfront, I may have recommended the unit, but I was unable to get most of them to work without compromising the image quality. If your TV has a USB input, it may work for this adapter.

I think the picture quality is just a little wonky because of the old game consoles and the other switch box we are using, but we still enjoy playing them!
