Even when the little pond starts freezing, as long as some sun is shining, the fountain is spraying water and keeps that spot from freezing. I’m in the mid Atlantic so the water does not freeze very over very often.

2nd Update- I looked up how to fix these little fountains. Took it apart and removed debris. Put it back together and it immediately started working. Took about 5 minutes to fix it. Just flushing it wasn’t enough. Update-this little fountain stopped working after two months. We flushed it out and it still didn’t work. Soaked it in a vinegar solution and brushed it out. Still didn’t work. This is a great little solar fountain for the price. We have had it running for over a week now. When the sun is on the fountain, it’s on. When there is no sun, the fountain is off. We had some difficulty putting on the four stabilizers, but just stuck a rock in the bowl of the birdbath for birds to perch on. We do seem to have to fill up the birdbath more frequently, which isn’t a problem. I hope the fountain lasts a long time.

I love the fact that it is solar powered and that it comes with several different options for the water spout. I paired this with a birdbath and since it does float free the water will fall out of the birdbath and onto the ground meaning that the water needs to be replenished frequently. This needs to be used in a wide container or something that has a wide enough lip to keep the water in the container. Will only work with sunlight. It will be sporadic on a cloudy day and will not work in the shade. Works well otherwise and would definitely purchase again.

This little guy works well given strong or direct sunlight. We are pleased with the selection of nozzles, and sometimes will even run it without a nozzle just the small spout. Caveat -Used the printed instruction manual to try to learn about how to clean particles from the intake, but it was missing fully correct info about the structure and sequence (for disassembly). Tips - TURN and PUSH hard to remove the motor from its center hole, Though it seems there is not space to rotate it, there is. We rinsed the filter (like a plastic holey sponge) and successfully reassembled. It is best used in a dish deep enough where you dont need to refill water midday. And expect it to spray outside of your dish perimeter, so place your birdbath where it's okay if it splashes over the edge of dish.

Where we live, there's a fair amount of clouds & rain; today is one of those days. The fountain was delivered yesterday & we set it up this morning, regardless of the weather. It worked out of the box, regardless of the overcast skies (and rain). Took a video so people aren't discouraged from buying this product because it's cloudy. It's been 1/2 hour since we took the video. No change in weather and the fountain is still going. No birds yet 🐦 Luv the price, and how easy it was to put together. Will change the spray nozzles later to see which one draws more birds 🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦 Don't forget to read the instructions about cleaning the cotton filter if no water is coming out of the fountain.

It did not work as expected for me. It got lots of sun however the water just didn’t want to come through the fountain.

I’ve ordered multiple of these! They’re so easy to use and I only clean it once a week. It has drawn many birds to my garden. It is powerfully and will shoot the water high if you want it to. I use it on the lowest setting in the bird bath so the water bubbles and it doesn’t scare the birds away. These last all season, and, at this price I replace every spring.

Terrific little gadget, it really works well.

This is a great option to have a water feature in the garden. The only downside is that it only works when the sun is out. On a gloomy day, there is no water feature… which is fine because it is a gloomy day anyway.
