This is an awesome sewing kit for novice sewers like myself. I am learning more and more with little kids it is always helpful to have a basic sewing kit on hand. When my daughter's blanket gets a hole in it, it is like the world is ending. Being able to grab some thread and a needle and fix it right up is key. What I LOVE about this kit is that it comes in a zip up case and every item has a spot (and elastic to hold it in place). With those little cheap sewing kits you get in the plastic case I can never get everything put back in them like it came which means I am constantly loosing item.

Everything I needed for an emergency dress repair! Plus some things I'm not sure what to do with. Luckily though, the kit holds everything nicely...at least briefly. Sometimes I open it up again to find everything (besides the threads) scattered, but maybe I didn't put it all back correctly.The threads were very close in color to the picture :)

I guess is fine for what I need it for, but I must say that I'm a little dissapointed for the poor selection of the thread colors. I mean, I got two light green and no black. Uhm!! Black is kind of the most important color. Also the quality is not the best but is pretty ok for the price.

Useful for what I needed

A good starter set for people like myself that really have no interest in sewing. Quality of compononents appear to be fair to moderate and the case is a needed accessory. Price is reasonable.

It is worthless. The eye of the needles are too small to thread except for the largest needle of which there are only 2. The filament in the threader is #10 fishing line and pliable, it bends and wiggles and you can't get the threader through the eye of the larger needle and then you can't get the thread through the wiggly threader. And even if you could get the needle threaded, the spools of thread have no beginnings so you can't use the thread. And even if you manage to cut somewhere and get a long enough piece of thread, it is so thin, whatever you are mending will not stay mended for long. It is absolutely worthless. Oh, and the nail clippers do not cut.

Bought this for my daughter to take to college. It has everything she can need for quick repair jobs. She is an applied theatre major, so will come in handy for repair work on costumes.

I like that this product has so many different items that I will have my repair items on hand while away from home.
