I bought this case for electronic components to check as luggage for airline flights. It is not that big, but I am usually asked to take it to the oversized kiosk because, "It might not make it around the conveyors." No big deal. I did not give this 5 stars because of the perforated inserts. My equipment is not uniform in size (who's is?). You can remove roughly 3/8" sections from the foam to make a custom fit for the equipment, but each section goes all the way through the foam, rather than, say a third of the way, which would allow much more flexibility of component layout.
