I am a quadriplegic from a stroke I endured a couple of years ago and this last year as I'm starting to progress in a positive way towards recovery and abilities, this simple magnificent instrument has helped me to be able to do things for myself that I otherwise could not do. I use this mostly for holding a stylus pen so that I can use it for my tablet and phone. This allows me to be able to call, text, email and create documents! Oh and now I'm able to do my makeup by myself :-) This leather band is quite durable, comfortable and life changing.

Effective but you need to make sure you get the correct size. No room in case your hand swells.

Allowed someone who couldn't feed herself independent with feeding!

but ridiculously expensive for what they are.... and they don't work for all situations - especially someone with limited wrist and arm movement.

I've tried several different kinds of these tools and none have worked out until this one, which shocked me since I had the least amount of faith in it because the pictures make it look cheap. It's the only one that holds eating utensils securely without flopping or twisting around. The ones that you velcro just have way too much play in them but this one is a snug fit and stays in place and holds things like spoons and forks tightly. I ended up buying 3 more in case I lose them. highly recommend.

This product did not work well for my family member due to the wider hand wrap. It caused more struggles than an average spoon.

This item is something that's great in theory but poor in actual design. If you're trying to use it with silverware, this product gets dirty quickly and is difficult to clean. When it gets dirty that also means your hands get dirty. We've found adaptive silverware with a wider handle to be a much better option. The wide handled silverware is easier to grip, clean, and switch between utensils.

Good price . My wife has termers and this helps stabilize the utensil in her hand standard dinner ware will work in this devise.
