Grehge ank You Distortion and Sustain Effect Pedal by Deadbeat Sound

It sounds just like the early 2000s black Russian muffs from right before Sovtek called it quits, but the Thank You costs a tenth of the price. For connoisseurs, the sweet spot for the tone control for this circuit is noon instead of the usual 10 o'clock.A lot of older reviews are saying that this is a rehoused OEM circuit, but I got it for 34 bucks and, at that low of a price, the cool shopping bag design on the housing is worth the extra couple of bucks.

I’ve owned the green and Black Russian muffs and this is a slightly different animal than both of them. The Black Russian sound has a much tighter and bottom heavy sound that this pedal nails. The “Thank You” doesn’t have the high end response of the rams head or triangle Muffs but is a lot more defined than the NYC or any of the newer models. The “Thank You” stands on its own as a pretty unique circuit.This pedal is large and heavy duty, just like the Russian muffs in the early 2000’s. The pots and jacks all feel solid and the housing is extremely sturdy. The pedal also gets some bonus points for a very cool box and packaging. Best of all, it uses a standard 9 volt connector and has an easy access battery slot, two things my Black Russian muff never had.

First flush in my pedal chain, it did well, and plays well with others. Front loaded with a BD-2, it adds a bit more. I realized that the distortion I was using on a Keely Loomer was very close to what I dialed in on the Thank You. Now I can explore more from the Loomer.Thank You, my fav word in the English language.Robin

Big Muff fuzztones are always welcome here. This is a great addition too go along with the rest.

Sounds great and a replica of the big muff pi. When I purchased this however it advertised the product with an ac adapter and 2 patch cables. I don’t see that anymore being advertised. Still a great sounding pedal for the price. Love the grocery bag decal.

Finally found a pedal that has the distortion I'd been searching for, it is fantastic.

I love the sustain and the high gain it's warm and strong and to be honest I think its the only one I'll ever buy!no need with todays modelers you can have any amp or pedal EXCEPT this one lol.buy this pedal and have a blast!
