Sorry. Don’t count on charging And listening
It go two stars because it does work.....But only one thing at a time. You can charge OR you can listen. It doesn’t work for both.I’ve been told that Belkin is the adapter to get if you want an adapter you can count on.Since Apple created this mess they should include an Apple adapter that works for both actions at once. Not an adapter that just turns into an earbud port.Don’t thy understand the concept of a phone needing charging just when you want to listen? Not too bright.

This adapter was a waste of money
This adapter was a waste of money. I had switched to the iPhone 7 and wanted another adapter so I could use it in my car to listen to music and charge my phone. It worked in the car for a bit, but could not answer calls when using this adapter. Since then, I’ve lost the adapter that iPhone provides you with and have been trying to use this adapter when walking to work to listen to music/podcasts. It repeatedly says it’s not compatible with the phone. It will work for a few seconds and then stop playing altogether. Don’t waste your money!

This one was a dud, but the seller is very responsive
Worked long enough to be unreturnable. Perhaps others are sturdier.Update: The seller says that they sent me a replacement so I've added a star. If the replacement works for longer than the last one, I'll update this review and my rating.

Necessary tool but doesn't last well
It's the only way to charge and listen to music at the same time with iPhone 8 and above. The one I bought hasn't lasted well. The cord extends out of the plug so with a little flexing one of the wires has broken loose. It still works but must jiggle it to get the wires to connect. Won't last much longer. Bought another at Best Buy. It is much better built. Cannot talk on phone while charging through this. It just won't work. Plays music well. Nice concept. Should buy through Apple not knock-off.

Stay away from this!
Did not work, it does charge but can't hear nothing, so what is the purpose of this product?I wish I can rated it 0 ⭐️!!!The only good thing of all of this is that it's from amazon which they guarantee your purchase and get what you paid if this isn't worked, THANK YOU Amazon!!!

Worked Fine at First; Then Abruptly Stopped Working
It worked just fine for a couple of months -- and then just abruptly stopped working -- for no apparent reason. In the middle of the day -- between uses -- it just stopped playing the audio and stopped charging. I didn't give it one star because it worked fine for a while. However, I obviously can't recommend it, since it should last for more than a couple of months. It only sat on my desk -- so there was no issue of it being mis-used or mistreated or anything. I got the cheapest one, you get what you pay for. . . .

It works but not for phone calls
It does work if your intention is to play the music over the headset or car and charge at the same time. However if you make/receive a phone call, the voice will not go over the headset but over the phone.

It doesn't work for talking on the phone. I bought this because I wanted to be able to charge and talk on the phone at the same time through headphones. I can listen to music while charging but the sound does not come through the headphones when I call. This is really frustrating since this is the reason why I bought this product. If anyone has any contrary experience and could help me out, that would be awesome
