BEST bean bag ever
BEST bean bag ever. The company does not use the words bean bag because it doesn't use the cheap foam beads or old fashioned type beans. The interior material is best described as (recycled?) high quality high density memory foam. So it doesn't have that nails-on-a-chalkboard and swishing sound when you love it around. It conforms to you with great support and softness. You can flatten it out into pretty much a bed (myself and the kids fall asleep on it all the time). Or put it sideways and sit on the end to make it into a supportive "chair". It is pretty big but the size is what gives you the support and flexibility. Not huge, but big. We have the grey and it is a normal charcoal grey. My only negative is I wish they had some more "modern" colors like a very light cream, light grey, cool grey/blue.Also kudos to the company-- the interior bag (to hold the foam and assure it doesn't explode on you). The interior bag confused me at first because it looks exactly like (is?) the current Army uniform camouflage. The note stated that the reason for this is to support a local American business. Kudos!

Easy to set up, super versatile
I think the company has changed how this product is packaged. There were no "cubes" of foam that I had to insert or break up, just the pillow (compressed and rolled up) and a cover, which I started putting on right after I "released the kraken." This pillow is HUGE. It works awesome as a beanbag (tipped on its side), a chair (half on the floor, half leaning against a wall), or even as a temporary bed for a child or small adult. It's heavy and it really fills out the pillow case... it ends up being about 8-10 inches thick. The inner pillow is made of ripstop, which is a very durable fabric. The cover is microsuede.I want MORE of these. My living room might end up looking like a permanent sleepover, but these are so comfortable and versatile. My kids and pets also approve.

Looks good.
I bought 2 pillows. I wanted to create an improvised loveseat in my studio because I wanted to avoid all the moving and dragging around an actual furniture but these pillows are huge and they didn’t work as a loveseat. My idea was to use one pillow on the floor and put up another one as a back support but they took up whole floor and they made whole interior look sloppy. So i put them upright nexts to each other as chairs along the wall and it worked out well combined with coffee table, shaggy rug and ottomans on the sides.. Also they are very comfortable and they don’t sink all the way to the floor. I’m sure i can take a nap on them.Pillow case has a zipper. Also it would’ve been great if you guys sold separate pillow cases because switching colors changes the whole look of the room :)I also appreciate the fact that pillows are made in the USA.

Good for lounging, bigger than you might expect.
The sack is rather good and I'd recommend it to others looking for something in a decent price range and better value than a sumo or Love Sac. Sumo's are noisy which was why I wanted this foam sack. Love Sacs are just pricy and probably more quality than I need for my level of use. I mostly use mine to recline with my cintiq while I do art, and this sack is adequate. That all said, the sack isn't as versatile as other pillow sacks, so I avoided a full 5 star. In general, Sumo's are going to be better for everything but noise and flattening over time. If you really need the best, I'd still say go look at Love Sac (specifically, the pillow sac).To be more specific, I tried lounging like the picture shows, and such a pose doesn't seem to work out... I have trouble because there is almost too much stuffing to be able to seat that far down into the sac. I might try removing stuffing to see if that helps, but I'm trying to evaluate out of the box right now, with the standard loadup. The other thing is... I kinda like how overstuffed the sack is, because it makes it into almost a bed cushion. The other thing I was hoping was that the sack would let me make a back-rest of some sort, and this so far has proven fruitless. I'm not sure if even lessening the filling would help, because the sack is more elongated than you'd expect. The reason Love Sac pillows and Sumo pillows work so well with back resting is because you can take a corner, push it in, and sit in the cavity formed. You can't do that with the JAXX as well because the sack is not square... but a rectangle. Instead of forming a cavity, pushing in the corner makes a hole just big enough for your knees maybe... but nothing substantial enough for full recline inside. That all said, the thing is still great to lie back, and when I want a back rest I either get some pillows, or I just go to my art desk. The thing is quiet and warmer than Sumos, which is what I was hoping for.

Favorite piece of furniture
I’ve had the Jaxx for six months at this point and it gets used everyday. My boyfriend and I can both sit on it comfortably together. For reference, I’m 5ft tall, about 110lbs and my boyfriend is 5ft 8 around 170lbs. When I sit on it alone, it’s perfect. I can float on top of it and have often fallen asleep on it.The initial setup is better with two people. You need one person to hold up the sack and the other to pour in the foam and stir the foam in. My boyfriend just stuck his entire arm in and stirred the foam around. That worked really well and didn’t make too much of a mess. It fluffed up and was ready to use after a couple hours. The maintenance is low on this as well. I have the basic cover on it and it’s very soft and easy to take off and wash. Having to fluff it back up takes all of 1 minute to do and as much as I use it, I only have to do this a couple times a week.I really wanted a bean bag style chair that looked a little nicer and would hold up better than the cheap versions I grew up using. This thing has exceeded my expectations.

It's really big.
It's big enough to use as a spare bed when people come to stay over.
