This angel was made by hand using a buff stoneware clay. It stands approx. 5 1/2" tall x 3" wide. The body is textured with a hand crocheted doily and the wings have the imprint from a shell. The body has "faith" stamped on it, and "John 3:16 For God so loved the world" is stamped on the back of the wings. It is finished with an oxide wash, which gives it a rustic look and highlights the textures beautifully. It was fired twice in the pottery kiln to over 2100 degrees.
