The cup keeps its content hot or cold for a long time. So I'd give it five stars, except...The lid has a sliding piece designed to cover the drinking hole—to maintain the temperature when we're not drinking and to keep the cup from spilling when we carry it. But after I slide that piece out of the way so I can drink, it automatically slides back to cover the hole whenever I tip the cup to take a drink.I'm about ready to glue that sliding piece in its open position. What I might try first, however, is to add a thin layer of glue to the bottom of the slipway. That *might* provide some resistance. We'll see.

Bought for my husband was carrying and dropped it lid flew off and he scalded his foot. Did not know lid would come off this easily.

Update: since posting this the company immediately contacted me and is shipping a replacement with an apology regarding a manufacturing error. Changed rating to 5 due to responsiveness while also recognizing that the product does exactly what I want.Less than 90 days after purchase the mug handle separated and broke at the bottom. Honestly, when using the lid this mug keeps my coffee hot for longer than I need to enjoy a cup of coffee. That is precisely what I was looking for. This was a 5 star all the way until the handle broke.

I started with the original yeti rambler that has no handle and is not dishwasher safe. But I wanted a handle so I purchased the new yeti that has a handle and is dishwasher safe. The new one is nice but is no where near as good at keeping coffee hot as the old model. I purchased this item from Elemental because it's supposed to have triple walls thinking that should be better than the common double-walled mug. Well, the picture shows only a double wall and I can can report that it performs about as well as any dishwasher safe double-wall mug. The handle is also not very comfortable.

Best designed cup on the market just needs a better lid I would buy this over a yeti everyday the handle is awesome the look is beautiful

This couple does an incredible job at what it’s actually FOR, but the poorly applied decorative pattern begins to peel off almost immediately. Better for them not to pretend and just have the aluminum from the beginning

I'm sure this works great but had to return as the handle makes it impossible to use in the car's cup holder.

These are downright marvelous mugs, that appear to have solved many of their competitors' shortcomings, as i see them!I've long been a big fan of these insulated mugs and I have several "other" brands in my coffee-addicion arsenal -- all are good, but none I'd call excellent ... until this one!Three features make them great:- the handle is ergonomically perfect, imo. No slipping or rotation. It simply feels *very* secure in my hand;- the bottom has a subtle non-slip pad that negates that "clank" when you put it down;- capacity: these mugs are two oz larger than the competition's. This means I can run a max-size coffee from my Keurig while maintaining lots of "freeboard" (space left over) so I'm never in danger of slopping my joe.These folks certainly got it right !! Two thumbs up !!

I got the black one and it looks very good. Rubber on the bottom works and keep mug in place; doesn't slide.When DrinkingVery comfortable to drink from this mug. With lid on, its fine, My nose does touch the top part of the rim, but barely. Compared to other cups or bottles with a smaller diameter, my nose would push too compress too much against the rim.With the lid off, my nose doesn't touch the rim of the mug at all. Very comfortable. I sometimes drink with the lid off is I know I'll probably finish my tea within 1.5 hours. The tea will stay hot or very warm within that time frame with the lid offIn Car Cup HolderDoesn't fit in my Honda SUV cup holder, as expected, so I bought a cup holder extender that will hold large diameter bottles. And that works perfectly to hold this mug.Metal TasteHaven't tasted any metal tastes since I've owned it for 3 months now. Got it for home use to replace my mug, not for travel/car use. So i dont care for the lid. I tend to drink my coffee slowly, so inevitably it gets cold before i finish it. Seems to do the job well! Good size cup.The finish has a strange rubbery feeling texture, will see how it holds up. I dig the black camo. Inside looks like a nice smooth stainless finish. It seems light for its size. Only complaint is the handle feels cheap.

Its durable, keeps heat/cold very well. Spills on the lid if theres a lot of movement but thats to be expected. No complaints :)
