What an inspiration
Thank you Ps Erwin for yet another powerful insight into the warrior. “If you want to meet God, stand in your fears. Stand in your pain. Stand when everything inside you tells you to withdraw. Elijah ran from God and ran right into Him”Loved the book.

All Humans Need to Read This Book
What an epic read. Whether you are a Christian or curious observer, this book helps to paint (what I think is) the truth about the world, the truth about how the world operates, how humans operate. It is a great, great read - I was sharing page screenshots like crazy.I began this book as a spiritual person and ended it as a Christian. I do not say that to say this book was the reason, but I was reading this through my process of transitioning and there were many confirmations I came across in this read from truths that I had collected over the past few years. The beautiful reality of this book is that regardless of if you are a Christian or not, truth is truth - and there is a lot of truth in this book.Over the past seven years, I was seeking truth and wrestling through a lot of pain and trauma I had experienced but never dealt with until that point in my life. The realities that McManus captured in this book are so fierce and so true and seriously every human needs this read. It really honed in on the reality of fighting and warring in a way that was not powdery or watered down Christianity where people slap a smile on their faces and hide behind Jesus. Jesus wants you to deal with your issues, to go there, to fight that battle within and to let it transform your life.Thank you for this gift!

Opened my heart after open heart surgery
At the time of writing this review it has been 9 months since I had open heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm with valve replacement. The defect in my heart was 100% genetic. I was 60 years old at the time and could be found in the gym no less than 4 days a week doing 45 minutes of cardio and 45 minutes of weights prior to my surgery. I have been an athlete and gym rat since my Jr High days. I have always been fueled by big dreams and have held positions of leadership since I was 19. Recovery from the surgery was physically excruciating but there was something even more difficult to overcome. I lacked, and still lack the energy and strength I knew previously. Is this it? Am I done? Is it time to hand off the baton and ride into the sunset? But then I read “The Way of the Warrior.” The fire within has been relit. The scars on my chest are not the symbol of my end but rather the symbol of my wound demonstrating that my weakness, my loss, are just part of the story of my life which is far from over. Thank you Erwin, from one Warrior to another.

Great book and lots of extras for using it for a Men's Bible Study Group
I think Code 1 is the most powerful chapter in this book. I am feeling a bit dissatisfied with Code 2 right now, but I think I am still trying to grasp the message he is trying to portray. I am using this book to teach a Men's group. With video and discussion questions online, I am pretty satisfied with the book and group. I don't feel as connected with Code 2 as I was with Code 1, but that might just be me. I look forward to finishing the book and sharing the experience with men. "As iron sharpens iron!"

Know Peace, Know Yourself
This is perhaps one of the finest books I have read on mastering oneself. Erwin McMannus gives a great guide in to learning the principals and the way of the Warrior. In this current world of chaos, this book teaches that the peace the soul longs for is the peace the world needs. Peace begins with us but first we must master ourselves. Relinquishing control, fighting those battles that are truly ours to fight, knowing how to tell the difference. The author is plain spoken and gives great context to each principle with insightful personal experiences. Most memorable lesson for me was "The warrior has a fire within them that burns brightly in the darkest of moments. Fire needs fuel to continue to burn. What fuels your fire?"

I am a Warrior
This is the second book penned by Erwin McManus that I’ve read. The first being The Genius of Jesus which was amazing and life changing. So, I decided to find another book of his to read and chose this one because inner peace is very important to me.This book did not disappoint! I probably have half of it highlighted and have a reminder already set to review my highlighted areas in a month. Pastor McManus showed me the very things I’ve been ashamed of, are actually my greatest source of strength. Using the Bible and insights into the different Biblical stories that make complete sense once shared, have given me the strength and determination to become a warrior of the light.I highly recommend this book if you want to find clarity, direction, and peace in your life.

Absolute favorite book!
From the first page to the last this book was captivating with wisdom. I couldn’t put it down yet would have to pause reading just to take in these many gems from Erwin McManus. I have suggested this book to many people and couldn’t recommend anything better. This is my favorite book and will be reading this book multiple times.Looking at other reviews it really looks like people either really get it or don’t. This book is for all people rather than just religious like most pastors do. So with that I think certain people expected something different and criticize it for that.I encourage you read this book and make your own decision. You could even listen to the talks Erwin has done on this book or listen to the interview (the school of greatest Erwin McManus). The only critique I could possibly have for this book was that it ended too soon I wanted more but I got it thanks to his talks.Erwin thank you for this incredible book!
