Cool Wrap 303 TP Cooling Scarfs, Tan with Print

I got this tan Cool Wrap 303 scarf for the gym. I have been extremly hot while on the treadmill this summer. I soak it in the early morning in a dish then put it into the refrig.(not freezer, not recommended by product.) until I leave. That is the only way it gets even cold enough to be worth its while. I put it into a zip baggy just before leaving. It has few beads inside when dry but it does get puffed when wet. But it doesn't seem to have enough thickness to cover enough down your neck to keep you cool. I tie it around my neck but it doesn't tie tight enough to get close to keep your "whole front of your neck cool". It did help for only about 15 minutes of a 30 min. run.The draw back of this product is actually the MUST Hand wash after using it( my recomendation)..due to sweat. You have to do this right away when getting home...because if you don't it takes forever for this fabric to dry. (Days!) And when you realize that you have a smelly scarf when it dries...you then have to wet it to wash it. Again... takes forever to dry and you can't put away in a draw or bag until it is dried out. It smells MUSTY! Just Ok product! Again,...Only good if your get it colder in the refrigerator and only stays cold for 15 minutes or so. Then I realized that this product has a shelf life of only so many times of use. Forget the amount of usages right now. Guess the bead only work for so long.

I love these scarves and they really help out on hot days. We use them when hiking and they make quite a difference. This particular brand is a little wider and longer than other brands, and I think that makes it more effective. Easy to activate with water. This, with the O2 Cool personal misting mini-fan, also on Amazon, make a great combination on a hot day.One word of caution, which Amazon asked me to mention in the review section, is that the cellophane packaging is defective and the scarves arrived loose in the box. That is not a problem, but two out of eight that I ordered fell out of the packaging and never made it into the shipping box. I contacted Amazon and they resolved it very quickly and are shipping me new ones. Thank you Amazon! Hopefully the manufacturer will improve the packaging so this doesn't happen in the future. Don't let it stop you from ordering them as Amazon will take care of any problems should they occur.

I bought three different neckerchiefs for the three members of the family. My son received this blue one.Personally I don't believe they're a whole lot better than wet scarfs. It does retain water a little longer which was the reason it received 4*s vice an average 3* review.Using it in the Pacific Northwest in an area of low humidity and relatively high heat (in the 80°s during the backpacking trip), this cooled the body immediately but that feeling, at least to me, was quickly lost. My son claimed it worked well for him but I believe that to be more psychological than factual.The manufacturer claims this is good for 30 uses. I certainly hope for more. Thirty uses is only a few backpacking trips.Of the three purchased, only one had the beads spread out appropriately. Buyers may have to soak them then arrange them for their first use.

First of all, let me make it clear- the seller I purchased this from is fantastic, it's the item I have a problem with.I'm not hyper-sensitive to heat but as a full-time pedestrian I do get overheated on hot days.I found that just submerging this product in cold water and letting the beads inside absorb the water didn't leave the product cool enough to make a difference when worn around my neck during a 30 minute walk on a hot day. I had to store it in the fridge for over an hour to create the kind of cool which made any difference during the same walk the following day. (I didn't put it in the freezer b/c my exprience with these absorbing beads has shown that they burst under those conditions.)I think this product might be most effective for small children with smaller bodies to cool. It might work for you and if you wanted to try it at least this seller offers it at a reasonable price for taking a chance on something.

These are OK. I bought them to wear while riding on a motorcycle in 100 degree weather. Guess nothing can keep you cool in that heat. I'm sure they are fine when you are working in the yard. I would have liked them a little longer so I could tie them more secure while riding.

I bought them to take to Kona on holiday a couple of weeks ago. While they work the first time, they cool quickly so not practical to take on a day-trip. They're best suited for short stints, and where you can place them back in a cooler to cool.

We've previously used these neck coolers, and we love them. This one is of excellent quality, and had plenty of the gel beads in it to fluff up to the right size without being too fat and bulky on your neck. We use these while working in the garden and barns during the summer months. They really do feel great on a hot day. Like many others, we keep ours plumped up and ready to use in a plastic bag in the refrigerator, so it is super cool when we are ready to put it on.

Sorry, but this cooling scarf is not as nice as ones I have had previously. It stays very stiff after placing in water and does not bend to fit around your neck comfortably. Think possibly the filling is not correctly done (?) Even after refrigerating, it does not conform to your body and is uncomfortable.
