A must for Autocrossers and HPDE events!!!
TrakkTape is a great product. I'm glad they started to offer it on Amazon. If you Autocross or you do a lot of HPDE events in your car, and want to avoid gravel/sand/dirt chips, cone marks, and other things that the course throws at your car, this is the product to get....I recently bought a Miata RF and didn't want to keep it as a garage queen. I wanted to be able to drive it as it should be driven, but was really concerned about marring the car with cone marks, dirt and gravel...My car does have Xpel paint protection film on the front bumper and full hood, but paint protection film can get damaged from gravel and dirt too. I found TrakkTape from searching online and decided to give it a try.Admittedly, I went overboard with the TrakkTape and applied 2-3 layers everywhere (see the pictures below)..Subsequently, I found you really only need to use about 1 layer for Autocrosses in most places, and *maybe* 2 layers for lower rocker panels where there can be a lot of spray from the wheels. I even used TrakkTape on top of my XPEL PPF film. Yes, it's safe on the PPF film.... However, do apply a layer of sealant or wax on top of your finish so that it's easier to remove.I was glad I had TrakkTape on my new car for the first Autocross with it. That day, we had a small wind storm that carried a lot of dirt and gravel across the course. In addition, as I normally do, I knocked down a lot of cones in the practice laps, lol. The car was caked with dirt and debris and cone marks. But TrakkTape took all the beating.. And at the end of the event, all I needed to was to peel and remove it....No sticky residue.. No rock chips, cone marks, or even dirt/dust in the covered areas. I didn't even need to wash the car, except the rear bumper which I decided not to wrap. Some tips for using TrakkTape. If you use TrakkTape, wrap up your car the day before the event, not when you get there. It can take some time to put it on, depending on how much you want to wrap and how nice you want it to look (I don't care about the look, so it took me about 2 hours). Also, make sure you follow the directions in how to wrap the car, especially the direction you want to put the tape on. Because the tape is temporary, if you don't wrap it correctly, wind can life the tape where creases are, and cause it to lift, especially across surfaces that are round, or where you have creases in the wrap... (I found it useful to bring some clear packaging tape to tape over overlap areas of TrakkTape, in case you forget and did a sloppy job using it around round edges....)If there was any improvement I would like to see with TrakkTape, it would be I wish they offered a version with a larger width, 12"-18". It would make wrapping an entire panel much easier.... But other than that, it did a great job protecting my car's finish....

May Pull Clear Coat Off On Older Cars
I use this TrakkTapeon on my 2006 Honda S2000 with 24k miles to prevent rock chip before having PPF installed. TrakkTape went on fairly easy and off with a little more effort. I read a few reviews with people using this for a couple of weeks, so I drove my car a couple of days with it one and I left my car packed in the my garage with this film on for two weeks. I removed the TrakkTape a day before my PPF appointment and I saw my clear coat pull off on a section of the rocker panel. I noticed the TrakkTape was really on the car and was like pulling sticky tape off the car.I think TrakkTape should be fine a day or two, but I wouldn't recommend keeping it on longer if you have an older car. I noticed the tape removes with no effort when installed and removed quickly. After two weeks it was like pulling off a Band-Aid that required some effort to come off. I now have to get a body shop to fix the paint on my car after using TrakkTape for two weeks on my car.

Nice product but ....
Great product for a small area or applied by someone with wrap experience. I Myself had a lot of difficulty getting it to lay down smoothly without air bubbles. Once I pulled the car into the sun the air bubbles got much worse. It looked hideous. I removed it before entered the track. Would work fine on small areas. Yes it will protect your paint. And yes do as they say on the headlights. I did not and it still shows the marks. I will not use it again. Very frustrating to apply.

It works and doesn't damage paint
I applied this product to my Corvette which the professional repaint was two months old. Put Trakk Tape on car for a cross country trip. 6,000 miles, 3 weeks later, removed the tape with no problems, paint protected with one layer of tape.

Left a lot of glue on paint after removal
Will this product protect your car from rock chips? Yes, most likely. But have fun trying to remove it. This tape left a ridiculous amount of glue residue on my brand new car (take a look at my pictures). This will take me hours to remove! Save yourself the time and look for another solution.
