We needed this as a last ditch effort before have to replace our pump for the Polaris. My husband is very handy. He replaced this part and it worked like a charm. Saved us hundred of dollars.

Works perfectly for a Hayward Super II, 1.5hp dual speed pool pump. I had an issue where the pump would only turn on when in low speed mode. On high speed, it would hum but not turn on, then trip the breaker. I read replacing the capacitor could resolve the issue and the replacement part at most “discount” online pool stores was $33. Found this model on Amazon when searching the same specs (25 MFD, 370 Vac) for less than $12.When I opened the pump, lo and behold, the exact same Genteq capactor came with the unit. It took 5 minutes to replace it and it fixed the issue. Pool pump is working perfectly now. A pool repair service charges between $89 and $129 just to come out and investigate the problem and many will just replace the entire motor for $350. With little electrical knowledge, I was able to resolve the issue for <$12!!!!

This capacitor is an exact replacement for a Pentair EC-LA01N Booster pump capacitor that runs the pool cleaner. Easy to replace took 5 mins. Search youtube on how to replace it and make sure to discharge the capacitor before removing the old one.

Arrived quickly (overnight) and fixed my pool pump.

My first time installing a capacitor on my pool pump but after watching a youtube video it was quite easy.So glad it worked as now I don't have to buy a new pump.A year later the pump hummed again so the first thing I did was check the capacitor.It was leaking under the top so I ordered another one.I read that capacitors can last as little as 1000 hours depending on how hot your pump is running.I am sure the high temperatures we have in Florida don't help.Since I work from home I am able to keep all my filters quite clean and changed about every week or so.I had read a review where a guy said his lasted 5 years but he may be in a cooler climate or have a newer pump.Mine ran for about 2600 hours in a year, it is an older pump so I guess I should be happy so I ordered another one.

UNPLUG power. Then SHORT across old cap terminals with screwdriver BEFORE removing wires. Compressor motor works fine now.

This is just what I needed to get the pool pump running again. If you think the motor has died, try changing the capacitor first. It is a simple fix (two screws to remove the cover) and may save you a lot of $$$.
