Daniel Marshall Ambiente 125 Humidor in Black Matte Private Stock Humidor

Sorry but I have a good regular line 125 humidor and a Private Stock and a bad one. The bad one does not hold the humidity, the seal is below average. Even with Boveda 72% it can't keep humidity above 63%. The packs are hard after 2 weeks, instead of 2-3 months.I purchased direct from their website and after 5 emails and 3 voicemails with minimal response, Kate admitted that the digital hygrometer included with their product can be off by 10% in either direction. But my communication with them clearly stated that I am monitoring humidity with multiple Xikar and Tempstick hygrometers that I personally calibrated.Either way, the hygrometers are not the problem. The problem is buying a Daniel Marshall Private Stock and expecting customer service to actually give you customer service.The seal and ability to hold humidity is paramount and maybe the private stocks should be cosmetic flaws only, instead of functional flaws that will hinder the proper keeping of your cigars.If a humidor can't humidify then it isn't a humidor.I paid over $500 for a useless dud and have no recourse. Buyer beware, spend more and go with the regular line of humidors instead of the private stock defects from this company.

Although this humidor is advertised as holding 125 cigars, it really only holds around 55 churchills. You might get 125 if you're storing petite coronas, but even with ~55 churchills, you need to get creative with orientation.With the tray installed, the most you can store in the bottom is two rows across by 13-14 sticks wide (for 48/50 ring size). You can get a couple more across the back, orienting them horizontally. On the tray itself, you can only get one row across the bottom of the tray (front to back), with maybe 2/3 more in a second row on each side. The humidifier is so thick that, when the lid is closed, it sticks deep into the tray.Construction seems solid, though, even with less than half the advertised amount of product and 4 Boveda 72% humidity packs, humidity is maintained at only 66% (this is with the Boveda sensor, calibrated to +- 2% accuracy). It's crept up into the 69% range, but only with about a box being stored.This was properly seasoned with one 320g 84% Boveda seasoning pack for two full weeks before any cigars were added

Very well made and looks great. After 2 weeks, maintaining humidity at 69-70% consistently.
