Perfect for summer BBQs!
These gloves are really great. I bought these for a summer bbq and they really did the trick. I like them so much I use them as regular oven mitts now. They are very thick material and come in a large size. I have pretty small hands so they were a bit big for me but they still work great and don't slide off. The glove covers half way up your arm to protect from the heat. The material on the inside feels like an oven mitt, the outside feels like a gardening glove or cotton material and is covered with these silicone flames that provide a third barrier when directly holding hot items. These gloves also work great for bonfires - I was able to pick up and lay wood directly on the fire using these gloves. They haven't burned or ripped and have protected my hands from really high heat and give me the freedom to move my fingers when needed like using tongs or lighting a burner, and even frying chicken. Definitely recommended.

Get the best grip on your grilling and fire utensils.
These gloves exceeded my expectations...and my expectations were high based on previous customer reviews. I have extra-large hands and other "heat resistant glove" purchases were too small... way too small. These gloves have greatly expanded my outdoor fire activities. I pick up burning logs in the fire pit to rearrange them without a problem. But, I don't recommend grabbing the burning end of a log. Grill station use is fantastic because of there flexibility. I use grill mats now to protect the grates from debris sticking to them and these gloves allow me to pick up the edges and move or transfer the mats to the outdoor sink without losing my grip or spilling fluids. The long wrist portions of the glove grab your forearms and hold the gloves in place if you have smaller hands.

Great for protection!
These work great, although they are a little bulky and takes getting used to using them. I felt more comfortable grilling with them on as I am always afraid of getting burnt. The gloves go up the arm which protects the arm too! They were a little big on my fingers which is probably why it was a little awkward in using but I still could use and liked the extra protection. The gloves are thick and well made. The grip coating seems durable and didn't melt like another pair of gloves I had in the past
I used this product to pickup burning logs in a fire pit. I was a little skeptical but surprised when I did not feel any discernible heat on my hands. The grip coating seems durable and didn't melt like another pair of gloves I had in the past. The grip is on both sides of the glove so it doesn't matter which glove you use on which hand. The cuffs are long enough that you don't have to worry about singed arm hair. My plans are to use one for outdoor grilling and fire pit and the other for inside oven cooking. Overall I am very happy with these gloves.

Nice - they do the job just fine
Nice - they do the job just fine. I felt like they were a little tight, but they seem to be loosening up a bit. They do not hold back the heat as well as expected, they are great if you take something out of the oven and put it down..however, I had a cast iron skillet in the oven and I had taken it out and someone had placed items where iI intended to place it...while moving things and making room i could really feel the heat coming thru... So, be prepared before taking very hot things out first!!

Works great, nice quality
Purchased for use in sourdough bread baking - placing and removing heavy Staub enameled cast iron pot in hot, hot 500° oven. Works great, nice quality, and really low price! Can feel a little bit of warmth after holding for awhile, but no heat. Will use on grill this summer too, while baking pizzas at 600°. Nice long sleeves, but I managed to burn my arm s little right above the glove when reaching deep into the oven. That's on me! Should have pulled the track out a little, but felt I was invincible. Recommend.

Comfortable to wear
These gloves are comfortable to wear. Comfort scale being a 5 at the top of the scale. The grips are on both sides of the glove so it does not matter which hand is which when wearing them. When considering the heat transfer with these gloves, they offer adequate protection, but not the amount of protection I was expecting. The heat from the grill could be felt through the glove. I am leery about using these gloves with a woodstove which is why I only give these gloves a 4-star rating.

Do what they should for sure.
I was skeptical thinking these would be like oven mitts, but I was wrong. I turned my gas grill on high and let it get to 400 degrees. I could lay my hand on the outside of the grill for a full minute and not feel the heat. Didn't want to test any longer than that because I was scared I would ruin them. I also reach into the grill and lifted the grill grate and nothing. I like them even if they do look like Guy Fieri's driving gloves
