Macrame: The Craft of Creative Knotting for Your Home

I JUST got the book, basically a half hour ago & I've paged through the whole thing. It looks too be exactly what I've been looking for. Explains material, good description/diagrams of the knots & patterns of things that I really like. I've been looking for plant hangers specifically, which there are some patterns. It also has other patterns that I really like. I can't wait to try some of them!! Also, I am new to macrame & I honestly think this will be a great book to get started with! I can't wait!

I love this book. It has reminded me of all the knots I’ve forgotten since high school, and gives the reader many patterns and projects to try.

This book is a good quality paperback and has color photos of all 21 of the projects in it and the instructions seem very thorough. As a beginner, I am confident that I will be able to follow the steps and complete the projects I am interested in. There are many macrame books to choose from, but I went with this one because even though all of the projects don’t appeal to me, there are enough that do to make it worth the money spent. Seems perfect for learning a new hobby!

Got into macrame during the pandemic and have been using this book since. Easy to follow, has diagrams and photos. Simple patterns for beginners. Has a variety of patterns from plant hangers, wall hangers and even a bench.

I'm old enough to remember doing 70's style macrame projects (including a hanging table in olive green poly rope...ugh!) These books are soooo not that! Thank goodness!I bought this book as well as Macrame 2 and love, love, love them both. If you like the boho style you will love them too.The books themselves are beautifully put together. Clear beautifully pictures and precise illustrations and instructions so any project is doable.I'm mostly excited for the projects. When the books first arrived and I was leafing through them I found several projects in each book that I will be tackling.If you're not into the boho look, these books are worth it just for the instructions and illustrations for all the knots you'd ever need for any macrame project. I can't recommend these books enough. Get both!

I like that the knot diagrams are easy to understand. I like the variety of projects and I can't wait to make more items. So far I have only made a plant hanger for my fern. I get complements on it! I am going to do a banner next and hang it over my doorway. I do wish there were some variations on the same projects, for example a door hanging that goes to the floor, with adjustments for wider door, or a shorter hanging, etc. Also a lot of the projects use rope varying up to 5 mm. It would be cool if you could skip strait to the projects by rope width, using up what you already have. Either way, I am very inspired by this book and this art form and can't wait until my next batch of cord arrives so I can get started on one of the wall hangings!

I recently made a beautiful Macrame plant hanger using a tutorial I found online. It was so much fun that I decided to buy more Macrame cord and wanted something a little more tangible to learn from. I did quite a bit of research and based on the reviews and images this one looked the most interesting to me.There are a good amount of beginner projects and also more advanced ones as well, in additional to some really unique ideas.

This book shows you all the basic knots with diagrams on how to tie them. But I found it hard to follow the directions on how to tie the different knots. The patterns are nice but I think kind of difficult for a beginner.

I can’t attest to doing the patterns and how they work out, as I bought this book as a gift. I found it to be beautiful, and has thorough explanations and good quality photos. It explains a lot of knots, and has thorough step by step instructions for the projects. I had purchased another macrame book and had returned it as this one was much better!

O Livro é super atual. Produção feita há cerca de 5 anos, é todo ilustrado com esquemas de como fazer passo a passo e fotos lindas.Minha esposa, desde que o livro chegou, está encantada com ele.Minha esposa não fala inglês mas mesmo assim ela manuseia e apreende as ilustrações com muita facilidade.Foi uma excelente escolha e melhor do que qualquer revista que ela já tenha visto sobro o assunto em português.

Great book full of amazing ideas. Tutorials and patterns are easy to follow and everything is so very well explained. The amounts and types of cord needed and lengths are given for each project in this book so no waisted cord or worry that you might run out :)Ideal and very handy to have when making patterns and projects of your own, just for inspiration or help with certain knots or even when you need a rough idea of what amount of cord to use. In all a fantastic book very well designed. Already asked Santa to bring me Macramé 2 for Christmas haha :)Rosie

Leicht verständliche Anleitung und schöne Fotobeispiele. Dies würde sogar ein schönes Kaffeetischbuch für jemanden ergeben, der es durchblättert, auch wenn er kein Makramee macht. Das Buch ist robust und aus hochwertigem Papier gefertigt. Der Autor gibt einige einzigartige Ideen für die Makramee. Das Buch ist in Englisch. Easy to Understand the Instruction and beautiful photo examples. This would even make a nice coffee table book for someone to flip through even if not doing macramé. The book is sturdy and made of quality paper. The writer gives some unique ideas for macramé. The book is in English.
