Second time's the charm
The OD measurements were off about 2-3 thou. Upon closer look I could see a gap of light between a portion of the jaws so I lapped them until the readings were consistant with gauge blocks up to 1-1/2". The ID jaws were off 4-5 thou (small) but didn't spend much time lapping them since the odds getting an ID with calipers like these within .001" is probably pretty slim. The movement was really loose on one end and tight on the other making measurements difficult. At best it's a throw away tool that you use to get in the ball park so as to reduce the chance that you drop your good tools on the floor and render them useless. Probably be OK for a carpenter. Also the battery was dead and I didn't get the feeler gauge, but who cares. I'm baffled at the logic of sending a feeler gauge with it in the first place. With the lack of quality so obvious, I'd bet a Mitutoyo one or both would proove wrong.Update: After giving the above review the merchant contacted me to offer a replacement which I accepted with some reservations. The replacement came with a dead battery (again) but also, this time, with the feeler gauge! I replaced the battery with the extra included and it worked. Using a good old American made micrometer, I measured the several leaves of the feeler gauge and they were great--none were more than 1-2 ten thou off and most were right on. Next I held the caliper up to a light and the jaws seemed to be ground very well. On the original set, there were two elongated elipses along the jaws that were probably most of the problem that I lapped out. Encouraged by this, I measured several gauge blocks, mostly < 1" but included 2 and 3 inches. Of the dozen measurements, all were within the .0015" accuracy claim, the range of "error" was 0 to .001" with an average of .0042". All were on the short side. The blocks are cl B so if I remember that's +\- .0001". Next I took readings of a single gauge pin along the jaws and found spots that differed by .001"- still within the accuracy claim. Did not spend much time with the ID jaws for reasons noted above but the one I did take was within .0015" of that taken with a telescoping gauge. The movement was smooth and consistant.I gave the first caliper one star because I did finally get it to work reasonably well. I would have given the second 5 stars but after getting two with dead batteries, I wonder if there's not some drain on the battery even when shut off. Maybe time will tell. I do commend the seller on their quick response to the review. Never had that happen before.

Precise and Very Reliable Caliper
This digital caliper is very well made, precise, and easy to use. I use it for reloading -- specifically for case length measurement and measurement of bullet diameters. The caliper has now seen years of use on my bench and has never had a single problem. When turned off, it does not drain the battery as some are reported to do. Highly recommended!

DID NOT GET FEELER GAUGE
I tried to contact the seller before I wrote this review to give them a chance to correct my concerns; however I got this message when I clicked on Ask a Question. " We encountered an error while searching for orders with this seller"As far as the calipers I am ok with them, the seem to be accurate and they are rather durable. Now for my complaints and reason for 2 stars.First the battery was DOA! There was a spare battery included however it is a shame I have to change the battery before I use them for the first time!Second and more importantly I did NOT get my BONUS 26-Blade Feeler Gauge! This is half of the reason I bought this particular kit!If the seller wants to contact me and make this good I will be happy to edit this review!

Absolute precision measurements with this digital caliper
This is a very precision measuring tool. It reads in a digital format which is exacting for accurate measurements. It also has a depth gauge and measures inside diameter as well as outside diameters. The workmanship on this tool is superior. There is also a feeler gauge in the box. I was a patternmaker in the aircraft industry and there is no room for errors when it comes to making parts for that type of work. We worked in tolerances of 1/10,000 of an inch. No professional shop should be without this digital caliper.

Solid Caliper
Very nifty caliper, seems well made and the case is green (same as their company name) I did find myself checking measurements twice because I get paranoid with my measurements and like perfection. Luckily though if I ever had a doubt I could just pull out my free feeler gauge to make sure it was calibrated. Overall for the price you can not beat it.

Disappointing
First disappointment was that it arrived with a dead battery. They supply an extra one so I did not return it, since I needed it right away. There is also no instructions included on how to replace the battery so I had to figure it out.The second issue is that the scale taped on the rail is not at point 0, it is 2 mm approx off.The digital measurements seem ok.

they seem good. However
So far, they seem good. However, the battery in the calipers was dead, the spare worked. Also, the number to register it no longer works.

Great quality in this product!
Impressed with the quality of the product ... good quality materials, heavy enough that you don't feel like it will bend or break down at all. My only complaint, was the batter in the device was flat out dead. Thankfully it came with a spare battery so I just had to put that in.
