Kenmore 15.000 BTU wall A/C
I just replaced my Friedrich wall A/C from 2005. I have always purchased Friedrich in the last 25 yrs BUT their Quality once praised,is no longer the same hence not justifying the price. I purchased 2 of these Kenmore units 15,000 BTU,we just installed one ourselves and as EXPECTED it works great so far. I did not try out that Alexa feature because I am going to leave it on 78 power saver anyway,do not care if Alexa works or not A/C is blowing cold air. Any changes will be updated.

I purchased this unit directly from a Sears Homestore. It is a cheapened version of the one I replaced. The instructions have two blatant mistakes, and the original extruded aluminum "window-seat" has been eliminated and replaced with cheap, weak plastic pieces that break quickly. The rear protective grill has been deleted, exposing the DELICATE and FRAGILE aluminum cooling fins. This exposes these fins (and other internal components) to animals, birds, errant debris, falling twigs and branches, etc. Clearly, this was a cost-cutting measure, while undermining "Kenmore's" quality reputation. I called their parts "help line" ...... zero help from someone that doesn't speak decent English. Went to the "Homestore", only to get a shoulder shrug and the same "help" tel numbers. I'll be writing Sears Corporate headquarters next week. This is BULLSHxx.
