Initially I was building my eyelashes by applying a bunch of the really thin three-root Scala .07 14 mm lashes for an over-all really fine feathery natural look and adding a few of these 5-root Mink lashes for accents - because the center root is darker and thicker and just one would stand out from the fine feathery lashes for a 'starry' eyed point - I'd use 3 or 4 or so spaced out along my lid for that longer darker point here and there rather than taking time and piling up more of the 3-root lashes to get that effect.However, I noticed after a while that the thicker center root of these 5-root lashes is shiny and that shine takes away from the nearly 100% natural look of using only the 3-root .07 Scala lashes. There is no short-cut to the look I'm after, so I'm not going to use these 5-root lashes anymore, if I want to stick to an ultra natural fringe.

These really cut down on application time and make for a feathery, natural look. I have almost all of the lengths, so I like the options I have with these. Because the base is tapered, it doesn’t become clumpy with the glue. I use these with eyelash extension glue and not false eyelash glue, and they seem to last quite a while.

Love adding these premade fans in for some extra fullness on my clients only downside is they seemed to not last long on the clients, could also just be because of they natural lashes! But these are definitely soft and easy to apply. They do have a stem at the bottom that I’m not crazy about but isn’t much of a problem.

If this had the option of not putting any stars I WOULD! do not buy this, don’t recommend them at all!! To begin with the case was cracked I purchased 3 different sizes and all 3 cases were cracked. I tried them on one of my clients and as I’m lashing I start to notice that the curl is slowly flatting out. By the time that I finished the other eye the lashes were straight not even a little bit of a curl just STRAIGHT. Save yourself the money DO NOT buy these

Love the Scala lashes. They are the best I've seen on or off Amazon. Their fine tampered root is what makes them especially great. When you glue to your lashes you can't see where the root is attached. The 3 and 5 root with the thicker middle lash are my favs and I buy the 11mm and 9 mm.
