Best built AA zoom out there.
Night disc golf approved.I would love to tweak this one and make it to my liking (and make more expensive). As it is, this is the best under $10 zoom out there. If you are in need of a single AA battery flashlight with zoom function, buy this next.Reasons why:+ Solid and smooth construction. (No rough edges)+ Very firm, yet easy to push/pull zoom mechanism.+ Good price.+ Easy to use switch. You don't need a skinny finger to make it work. It is extremely easy to cycle through the modes with a half-push. A full-push click will turn it on or off. If done rapidly, it will cycle to the next mode. If left alone for a few seconds, the switch always starts on the bright mode. The order of modes is bright/dim/strobe.+ Plenty bright for a single AA battery flashlight. I'm lighting up disc golf baskets easily from 265+ feet. More than meets my needs. The dim setting is plenty as well. Helps to not totally ruin my night vision.+ It has three flat edges by the switch to help prevent it from rolling.+ There are no dark spots when zooming from wide to spot beam.+ Easy to get in and out of my front jeans pocket.+ It flat out feels comfortable in my hand.+ The battery does not rattle around when I shake it.+ This is a solid all around flashlight. Clearly, a lot of thought and research went into this product. I am very impressed. This is my third attempt buying a single AA battery flashlight with zoom. One had sharp edges, and the other had a hard to use switch.I hope that they will make one of these in a blacklight version as well. How would I tweak this?1. I would give this a high CRI LED.2. I would add a one lumen low setting.3. My preference would be to have it start low - medium - high.4. Maybe a double click from any position to give it strobe. Or just eliminate the strobe altogether.5. (More costly) give it a hardened glass AR coated lens.I'd gladly pay more for that.

Best bang for buck.
Can’t beat the price for this little light. Great color and output on a single AA battery. My only complaint is that the focusing head slides too loose in my hand. Other than that it’s been good so far.

The Old Axiom "Big Things Come In Small Packages" Rings True!
This tiny little unit surprised the "L" out of me! LED flashlights tend to be more "miss" than "hit," and thus I really wasn't expecting much from this "micro" unit, despite the glowing reviews -- I figured it's be just "sufficient enough" for it to perform for what would become its primary designated purpose. Needless to say (but I'm going to say it anyway) I'm quite impressed with not only this little powerhouse can crank out (and only on *ONE* AA battery!), but I also greatly appreciated its "mag-lite" capability (though stiff and difficult to work... minor gripe). I'd also discovered quite by accident (as it is not mentioned anywhere with the packaging) that it also has a "STROBE" mode, activated either by three (3) successive "quick clicks" or a "one-half (1/2) click" after entering the "switched-on" position. I've yet to gauge the "battery life" of this unit, as it does come complete with a single alkaline battery, and after it's been drained I'll be resorting to using Panasonic/Sanyo "eneloop" rechargables which will also have to be factored into the battery life question. But if anyone has any doubts about this one, let a cynical and jaded mo-fo such as myself asuage you of that hesitation!

Great flashlight until I dropped it.
It was great until I dropped it. I've only had it about 6 weeks and now it doesn't work at all.

Tight like you want it
I originally bought this as a add on/extra item to get my order over the $35 mark for one day shipping. I was so absolutely impressed with this that i have ordered and received my second one. This light is insanely bright and seems very well built. They seem to have listened to the reviews because the only thing i saw that could be aggravating in a past review was a loose focusing head. Mine feels as if i was using it as a syringe. Very smooth and tight. Tight like you want it. To be honest i haven’t left a single review in the past 300 orders i have made. The one item i am leaving a review for us one i thought was going to be a throw away item.

Safety First!!
I got this for a special person in my life. She loves the beams and will be keeping it in her car. I think it’s wonderful safety tool and I’m glad I bought it for her.

As others here said its a solid, nice little light. Recommended.
I've a few mini flashlights, all more expensive than this one. Sure the priciest one @ 5X the price is "nicer" but this is second only to that one of mine.As others say its solid, smooth, compact, reliable. It doesn't tail-stand but won't roll when laid down (important:).It's a keeper, and assuming it lasts, I'd buy another if I'd lost or broke it.

Well made ... but weak light
Hard to believe this is rated at 300 lumens. I compared it to an older 80 lumen AA LED light and there was little noticeable difference. Then I compared it to a 400 rated LED light. The 400 blew this one away and looked like a Jedi Light Sabre by comparison. I would agree that the build quality looks good with a nice smooth feel to the body and mechanism.
