These beasts will hold up anything you got!
I'm very impressed with the build quality, the welds, the finish, and the nearly one inch locking pin! While it listed as a 12-ton jack, I am assuming that means as a pair per the ASME standard, although it doesn't state that anywhere on the jacks or in the instruction pamphlet. There is zero wobble to either jack, and they are plumbed and welded perfectly level. Also very little side-to-side movement of the uprights even in its highest position. No movement on the non-pin side, and maybe 1/8 to quarter inch movement on the pin side when I rock the uprights with my hand.My jack stands came with a sticker that states they were made in India. That surprised me a bit because every other jack stand I've seen is made in China. As most others have already stated, the packaging is subpar. Just a medium weight cardboard box with each piece in bubble wrap. My box was mostly busted open, but Amazon had it in another larger box with zero fill of any kind. The stands themselves made the trip in nearly perfect condition with only one little chip. The uprights were all scraped on one corner, which you can see in one of my pics. Doesn't affect the usability at all and I really don't care all that much for a tool such as this, but a little bit extra attention to the packaging could have prevented this. I mean stick a piece of styrofoam in between the stands and the uprights, and strap the box closed and you'd be golden.I really appreciate the welded on circular holder for the massive locking pins, and also the retention cord for the pins. These pins are far more hardy than the little teeth on the ratcheting style jack stands, and they inspire confidence. Just what I need for my dually and my fifth wheel. Highly recommended!

Absolute units. **UPDATED—some room for improvement**
The media could not be loaded. To call these "heavy duty" is an understatement. The delivery person had to stop for rest on the way to my front door (seriously). They inspire confidence.I ordered a "like new" quality Amazon Warehouse item. On the pair of stands I received, one body has a decent amount of paint damage on a couple of corners. This is probably a (manufacturer) packaging issue, as others have documented. I don't really care.I've been working with a pair of old Duralast 4 ton stands for decades (pictures for comparison). At any sort of height, and in general, they seem unsafe, having visibly bent near the ratcheting mechanism. So onward and upward.Observations:These Torin 12 ton stands go both shorter and as tall as my 4 ton stands, so in that respect they are surprisingly compact. They are rock solid at lower settings, but have a bit of wobble/play on the highest setting, due to tolerances between the post and the base. The post and pin can be inserted in either orientation, though no height or stability difference results. The pin is attached to the base with a cable stay, and there is a holder for the pin when it's not being used. The carry handle is a nice touch, though I probably would have made it rounded rather than square. The flat base is ideal if you are on a flat surface. On an uneven surface, this may be less than ideal. In any event there is no risk of feet digging into a softer surface as many other stands do.I've heard for years that pin-style jack stands are safer than ratcheting. The pin on these is beefy."Made in India" as of spring 2024, even though the listing product detail says China.**UPDATE after a few uses:**On my second set of these (thus to have 4), out of the box one of the pin retaining cables had pulled apart. The factory assembly of these retaining cables is lousy. A copper (plated?) crimp way too large for the cable is flattened over it.I repaired this using a wire rope swaging tool with aluminum crimps. The stands have a fair amount of play at taller settings—as much as half an inch. This is partly a tolerances issue, partly a design limitation.I find it annoying, however, that when the saddle is aligned with the vehicle jack point (front to back, with respect to the car), the play is required to be side to side. It's possible to rotate the base of the stand with respect to the car, but not the center column. This is because there are holes for the pin in only one direction. I would rather see holes in both directions for the column, or a saddle design that works in both directions.I much prefer forward-back play over side-to-side play.

Sturdy and built well
I've found myself seeking jack stands for certain jobs in a shop more than I would like. After reading up on these, I figured it give it a shot. They have a great and clean appearance. They're easy to work with and conveniently have the pin storage placement setup for easy access/use/storage. If you've needed a good set of sturdy jack stands, these have a great weight rating and are sold at a great price.
