USB to 3.3V TTL Debug Cable for BeagleBone Black

I am very pleased with this product as far as it's function! I am quite concerned that the wire gauge is too small to handle normal wear and tear. I would suggest that a thicker cable be used in the future, so that an accidental break in one of the signal wires would be much more difficult to achieve than it is now.

I bought this to work with my beaglebone black on my pc running virtual box and Fedora 20. This cable works great. I didn't realize there were indicator LEDs in the clear molded USB connector.My only concern is that the wire gauge is rather small. I would be worried about longevity.

It didn't work for me. I tried in Linux and in Windows. I tried it "plain" and then I installed the drivers explicitly. I never got a sign that the device was successfully recognized. On the contrary, I got a "Code 10" dialog that, according to the cable's manual, means that something is wrong with the device.Looking at the other reviews saying how easily it's recognized and how great it works, I'm even more convinced that I got a defective part.I'm returning it and getting a refund. I'll try getting some similar cable somewhere else.

like a customer stated before, it stopped working the second time trying to use it. mine did the same. don't know enough about the phy to be able to tell what's going on. it's too bad it's locked up in the clear casing also, other you would be able to see what's going on. all in all. this thing was made from bad components/layout and/or has poorly written drivers for it. pretty upset actually, over such a pretty cheap item

Plug-and-Play on my Ubuntu box, no drivers need. However you will need to install them from the provided disk on Windows. Other than that it works right out of the box. Its a good length and I like how it lights up when I connect to the computer and when I type on the minicom. Glad I bought this cable.

I am able to get the console output message from my Beagle Bone Black with this cable. I am running Debian on my ARM based ChromeBook. I had to edit my udev rules to make sure brltty didn't take over the device.

Nice product - recognized by Windows 7 right away with no need for external driver etc. Supports high transfer speed up to 1 megabit/sec. I personally tested it at 833,333 baud.

Great products, works great on my BeagleBone Black board, and it was delivered on time. Can't ask for more than that!
