I had to learn more about this bean .
Ok , At first glance this bean is small but don't let that sway your decisions. I been roasting beans for years now . This bean acts peculiar . I suggest a lower heat , Not 420 but less . You will not have loud cracks . If you are measuring the roast time by the crack it will fail. Its is a must to let this bean sit overnight to loose the carbons . I made the mistake of judging it to soon .After sitting overnight the bean takes on a deeper flavor rich and not so bright . Vary nice . Id suggest a city roast . At about 390 . If you go higher be careful and attentive . Enjoy .This is a good learning experience. all beans are not the same . But I do think you will enjoy the flavor . I did .

My favorite bean so far... smooth, rich and deep flavors with almost no acidity!
So I am new to roasting my own beans, but this is my favorite so far! I’ve been roasting these on a camp stove in a carbon steel wok (direct propane heat) for about 10 minutes, to what I would call Vienna Roast level (Just past a full city roast, pulling them just when they start to blacken). I also use a Baratza Encore grinder. They are delicious. Full rich taste, virtually no acidity, smooth mouth feel. My go-to brewing method is an Aeropress, and they taste great... but I’ve also do a French Press on the weekends, and it’s even better. Highly recommended!

Heaven in a cup!
I’m a rookie roaster, so I tried several ways to roast this bean. In a copper pan (outside!) with a burner and infrared thermometer, between 340 and 390 degrees. Got a blond roast. Didn’t smell good roasting, but really great aroma and flavor. The beans were dry and ‘chaffy’. Has to shake them back and forth between colander and wire strainer several times to get it off. Messy but worth it. Got a Presto hot air popper, didn’t use the top plastic but put a Farberware red wire screen on top (outside!). Got the MOST AMAZING results!! Beautifully roasted, dark, oily beans with no chaff. The flavor when grinding, the awesome smooth, non acidic brewed coffee was a piece of heaven. Neighbor said the smell ought to come in room freshener! I wanted to try another bean, but honestly, this is the best coffee I’ve had since visiting a Jamaican coffee plantation. I’m hooked!

It is am amazing grading of this bean
It is am amazing grading of this bean. When I saw it- it was reminiscent of beans from Yemen. Very tiny and amazingly graded. Yes the primary notes are a dark chocolate. . . but never found the "peach" highlights. In my opinion. This is a good coffee. But I will use it with a blend of other coffees. This coffee has strong mid range flavors. . . . it will be amazing blended with say: Guatemalan and a good Columbia or a equal blend with Sumatra. what ever your tastes.... Try it! I will order nit again

Superior service from Unleashedcoffee farm.
Superior service from Unleashedcoffee farm. Amazon apparently mislabeled some of the unroasted beans where the Unleashedcoffee label is correct but the Amazon label (with the bar code) did not match the product. I sent a brief note to Unleashedcoffee to let them know. Their reply was immediate and they said to enjoy the coffee we received and they were immediately sending the Brazil Catucai Red that we are wanting to try.We will be sharing this story with friends and family as we enjoy various varieties of their unroasted beans. Finding customer service at this level is very special.

These reviews are on target
Read the various reviews -- they are on target. I've roasted 25-30 single origin beans mostly from Sweet Maria's in Oakland and would rank this is the top 5. My observations confirmed by various reviews here:--chocolate, roast almond, some lighter accents (fruit) but not much--good mid-range--low acidity, smooth--does take a long time to roast, hard to get past City--the 2 cracks are very subtle, probably more subtle than any other bean I've roasted. Go by bean color. This is very much worth trying. I recommend.

Coffee roasting is an art.
I always love the smell of roasting coffee that fills the air outside our local coffee company. I thought I'd give roasting a try. I'm sure these are excellent quality green coffee beans. But you can't just go out and buy a hot air popcorn popper and expect wonderful results. I got burned coffee and a mess. Be sure you know what you're doing.

small beans, roasting for experienced roasters
Beans are small, more finesse needed to roast correctly. bean size is consistent. they take longer to first crack and produce very little amount of chaf. Using care, the roast is attainable.... need to control very good, the temperatures..lower temps than normal.
