SUMBEL 10 Ft Offset Umbrella Cantilever Outdoor-8 Ribs Patio Hanging Umbrella Backyard Garden Lawn with Cross Base, Polyester UV Protective, (Tan)

I purchased Sumbel 10 ft offset Umbrella in the spring of 2018. My umbrella fell over numerous times. I read the reviews (which were very helpful) most suggested to purchase four h2o/sand weights. As you see in my photo. The weights where approximately a 1/4” to short to lay on the base of the umbrella.Because I could not align the base with the weights, my umbrella kept swaying as if it was going to fall down.I went to the hardware store and purchased four 8” long stakes/screws. I tapped them into the holes in the base. As in my photo. OMG IT WORKED!Suggestion: You might do the stake/screws before investing in the weights. Although the weights give it a nice finshed look.

The umbrella was of good quality, easy to set up and serves our need protecting a 6'x5' patio furniture set. Excellent quality for the price paid; however, the base is NOT strong enough to hold up the umbrella when fully opened AND is a four crossbar system - not the base shown in picture! There is no directions as how to secure base but I was not going to drill holes in my deck so I used a heavy 6x6 post to weigh the base down. Not a pretty sight. For that I would give this product 2 1/2 stars.

This umbrella is perfect for our 12 x 12 deck. I would suggest that you also add ties to it to keep it from flying around too much if you also have a lot of wind as we do. It is meant to move a bit, but it can appear to take off if you don't tether it a bit. Don't tie it too tight though as it does need to move to keep it from damage.Highly recommend this product.

You definitely need a base to keep this umbrella standing. It will not stand on its own AT ALL!

For the price this is a good product. It would be nice if it came with a plastic base that could be filled with sand to make the umbrella stable. I am using square pavers for counterweights and the umbrella works great. It is not constructed from the most heavy duty material which one shouldn't expect for such a low price point
