I've been using a different, more expensive product by Sunday Riley that I really enjoyed but wanted to see if I could find something else for less. While this product is not the same as the UFO dry oil from Sunday Riley, it does serve as a pretty great substitute. It doesn't have much of a smell, has a nice light texture (this is what I was mostly worried about because I didn't want to break out), and has seemingly done a good job containing any pimples or acne. I live in a very humid area (New Orleans) so I am not sure how much it would dry skin out living in an arid environment, but it does a great job by not making my skin overly oily. I have been using it with a lactic acid oil and a hyaluronic acid moisturizer so over all my skin is nice and moisturizered. I wanted to give a good detailed review because I've struggled with finding products that don't make me break out. My skin isn't super sensitive but being in a humid environment i need to be careful what I wear. I would definitely buy this again because of the price point and I want to try their other products as well based on how pleasantly surprised I've been with this one. I've been using the Minimalist 2% Salicylic Acid Serum, and it has become a staple in my skincare routine. The product is very affordable and incredibly easy to use, which is a big plus for me. After using it a few times, I couldn't see any difference. BUT, I lightly scraped at the stubborn, hard to get area's around my nose, and wow! I was amazed how easily they came out! I mean easily!! You still have to do some work, esp on the firm, more troublesome pore area's where sebum is most collected, but voila, this sucker works. Believe me, I have all the serums, cleansers, etc.. many that contain Salicylic Acid. So many years of never really pinpointing which was doing the job. Well now I know, and very happy! It's the easiest/best product I've used for white/blackheads. Even compared to steaming. It loosens up and opens pores like magic. :)

This has completely changed my skin and the way blackheads form on my nose and chin. I will never not use this stuff. My blackheads were hard to get out and my pores just looked big and my chin was the same way. I wash my face with a cleanser and hot water, I put a few drops on my nose and chin and tops of my cheeks and the center of my forehead and massage in circles until absorbed and dry. Then I put ice on my face and close the pores up and follow up with a moisturizer. I do this about 3 or 4 times a week. My blackheads become softened when I do this. THEN every week and a half is when I steam my face after washing it clean, get my pores opened large and apply this serum until absorbed and begin to extract the black heads from my nose and chin. I just use a Bobby pin and drag it loop side down across my pores until the blackheads appear to be removed as best I can. You don't have to apply very much pressure because the salicylic acid makes the blackheads watery and not so solid and hard. The salicylic acid softens them especially if you use it for a week before you steam your face and extract them. Once I get the pores emptied I put a little more salicylic acid on the areas I just went over to penetrate anything I might have missed. Rub it in until absorbed and wait a couple minutes before I close my pores with ice cubes. Ice also helps calm the skin after you just pressed on it with a bobby pin and made it all red and welted up. Then put a toner and a lightweight moisturizer on and enjoy how clean your skin is and how small your pores are. I had no idea this shit existed and it changed my life entirely. I wish I had this in high school

I usually use The Ordinary and I decided to try something new. I've been using it for a couple of weeks but it seems like more acne has appeared on my face. Yes, I wash my face and use this after I use toner but it doesn't seem to work.

Got this for my hubby, works super well, I’ve definitely seen improvement in his skin and it pushes out his blackheads and his skin is soft. He pairs it with cerave. I think it could’ve been a tad stronger though because he’s still having whiteheads and blackheads and salicylic usually treats that but his skin has definitely improved
