I bought the 8" wheel for my Syrian Hamster and she (and I) LOVE this wooden wheel! This wheel is super silent and runs smoothly. When I first revived the wheel I was cautious about it becoming noisy as time went on, but it has held up tremendously. My Syrian does not chew on the wheel at all (though some might) and I am actually going to be purchasing another one in the 11" diameter, as she has out grown her 8". I would definitely recommend this wheel. I don't mind that she does urinate on it.. wood is a natural disinfectant as it is, however during the day when she is asleep I put the wheel in a plastic bag and freeze it in the freezer and it helps kill any bacteria. However, I don't do this every day.. it's a once in a while thing :)

Broke within home second of getting it before it could even be used one of the wood sections popped out and there were also shards and pieces of wood laying inside the wheel when I opened the package although it wasn't damaged in shipping. Horrible waste of money I'll stick with the cheap plastic ones from now on.

Do NOT buy this. it fell apart before I even open the package. it's made so poorly that there is no way it could have been use as an exercise wheel. really a piece of crap.

It came broken dont buy really small in width
